Outpatient Nutrition Counseling Services
Southcoast Registered Dietitians offer individual nutrition counseling and follow-up care to aid in maintaining overall health as well as managing medical conditions through dietary changes. Our clinical dietitians are registered and licensed and are members of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
Outpatient counseling requires a referral from the patient’s physician. Referrals can be sent to the Central Scheduling Department. Southcoast physicians may also enter an “Ambulatory Referral to Nutrition Services” in Epic or download the Counseling Request Form.
Conditions Treated by Our Dietitians
Our dietitians are experienced and accept referrals for all of the following conditions:
- Diabetes
- Overweight/Obesity
- Food allergies
- Celiac Disease
- GI conditions (i.e. IBS, Chron’s, etc.)
- Pediatric nutrition
- High cholesterol and heart disease
- Hypertension
- Nutrition during pregnancy
