Visiting Hospital Patients in Southeastern MA

When a loved one is staying in the hospital, whether for a couple of days or for a serious condition, you want to be sure that they are receiving exceptional care. At Southcoast Health, we seek to partner with families and loved ones to help support our patients during treatment and recovery.

Our team of doctors, nurses, specialists and additional medical experts understand that having a loved one in the hospital can be difficult. In order to care for both patients and visitors, we have provided information and policies for visitors in Fall River, New Bedford and Wareham, MA at our hospitals.

A large hospital can feel overwhelming. We try to make visiting as simple as possible so that you can help support your loved one receiving medical treatment. In our patient handbook, as well as online, you can find important information, such as visiting hours and policies.

We have on-site gift shops at Charlton Memorial Hospital, St. Luke’s Hospital and Tobey Hospital that allow you to find a way to cheer up a patient or find everyday essentials without having to leave the hospital. Choose from our selection of flowers, cards, toys and gifts, as well as toiletries, snacks and more.

Each hospital also has a cafeteria offering breakfast, lunch, dinner and light fare, as well as coffee kiosks or cafes for snacking. You can find healthy eating options at just about any time of the day.

Please let us know what we can do to improve your experience as a visitor or if a patient has concerns. Reach out to your doctor or nurse or contact customer service.
