Discover Buzzards Bay Sunday Strolls

Southcoast and the Buzzards Bay Coalition co-host strolls on the first Sunday of each month from 10 to 11 a.m. Locations vary, but the walks are appropriate for all fitness levels. They are led by an environmental expert from the Buzzards Bay Coalition and a Southcoast medical professional who can answer questions about leading a healthier lifestyle.

Walk with a Diabetes Educator

Michael See, a certified diabetes educator, leads a friendly, supportive walking group for individuals who want to take a step toward staying healthy and active. The group meets every Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. at the carousel at Heritage Park Boardwalk in Fall River.

Be Well Wareham

Join cardiologist Dr. Ashwini Sahni to learn heart-healthy habits. Participants meet on the fourth Saturday of every month at 9 a.m. at the Gleason YMCA in Wareham. The program begins with a 30-minute walk, followed by chair yoga, meditation and a nutrition presentation.

Diabetes Management Program

Diabetes management is often a vital part of diabetes care. Southcoast offers education in small group sessions or individually. The program addresses all aspects of diabetes self-management, including meal planning, medication management, complications of diabetes and more.

AFib Wellness Program

Southcoast’s Atrial Fibrillation (AFib) Wellness Program is a unique approach to disease management. It combines the latest treatment technologies with a strong focus on lifestyle modification. Patients with AFib can be referred by their physician, or they can self-refer. The program is currently accepting patients who have a history of AFib 2.
