Southcoast Health is thrilled to welcome some exciting new arrivals to our OB/GYN family!

Rebecca Hebert, CNM, Robert Tripp, DO, and John MacFarlane, MD, all previously at Triad OB/GYN, are now accepting new patients at our Rosebrook location in Wareham; and Nicole Mapes, CNM, is now accepting new patients at our 543 North Street location in New Bedford.

With Southcoast Health’s comprehensive maternity care program, you can choose the birth plan that’s right for you, your baby and your family. Our specialized teams of physicians, Certified Nurse Midwives, laborists and Nurse Practitioners are dedicated to meeting the unique needs and preferences of every mom-to-be, including VBAC and Gentle-C.

Our OB/GYN practice at 100 Rosebrook Way in Wareham is led by our team of Obstetricians, Gynecologists and Certified Nurse Midwives, and provides the convenience of lab and ultrasound services on site. The Women & Children’s Pavilion at St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford is designated Baby-Friendly and also provides a Level II nursery.

Welcome to our new providers!

Rebecca Hebert, CNM

Rebecca Butler completed her undergrad at Quincy College and University of Massachusetts Boston. She then graduated from Frontier Nursing University in Hyden, KY. with a Master of Science degree, specializing in Midwifery.

Rebecca is certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board as a nurse midwife. Her clinical interests include pregnancy, family planning, sexually transmitted infections and health and wellness.

Nicole Mapes, CNM

Nicole Mapes earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing at Rivier College in Nashua, NH. Nicole then furthered her knowledge and expertise by earning a Master of Science degree, specializing in Midwifery, from Frontier Nursing University in Hyden, KY. Nicole is a certified breastfeeding advisor member. Her clinical interests include Obstetrics, breastfeeding, contraception, teen health, and women’s health. Learn more.

John MacFarlane, MD

Dr. MacFarlane holds a medical degree from the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. He completed a residency in OB/GYN at the Baylor Affiliated Hospital, also in Houston. Learn more.

Robert Tripp, DO

Dr. Tripp is a graduate of the New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in Biddeford, Maine. He completed a rotating internship at the Chicago Osteopathic Medical Center and an OB/GYN residency at the Allentown Osteopathic Medical Center in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Learn more.
