Kelly Trummer, MS, PHR, Director of Talent Acquisition, was recently appointed to the newly formed UMass Dartmouth Career Center Employee Advisory Board.
Kelly Trummer, MS, PHR, Director of Talent Acquisition, was recently appointed to the newly formed UMass Dartmouth Career Center Employee Advisory Board. In addition to Southcoast Health five other large local employers comprise the group: Amazon Robotics, Dell Technologies, Enterprise Holdings, Meditech and the Naval Undersea Warfare Center.
“The EAB will meet regularly to discuss and develop creative, proactive approaches for engaging students at UMass Dartmouth in becoming members of the local workforce here in the South Coast region,” Trummer says.
“Our goal is to stay in touch with students so they know us and we know them. We want to keep them informed of great career opportunities locally and share helpful information about employment needs now and those in the future.”
Adds Trummer: “Our partnership with this area’s large public university is incredibly important. We hire many UMass Dartmouth students. The university has a robust number of programs – in nursing, laboratory sciences, business and numerous other academic departments – with many talented students who we find attractive as potential employees.
