About Vladimir Yufit

Dr. Yufit has been practicing primary care medicine at Southcoast since 1998. A specialist in internal medicine, he is in practice at Hanover Internal Medicine in Fall River. Previously, he was with New Bedford Medical Associates and served as a hospitalist physician at Tobey Hospital.

Dr. Yufit received his medical degree from the Grodno State Medical Institute in the Republic of Belarus. He completed a residency in anesthesiology and critical care medicine at Grodno District Hospital, as well as a residency in internal medicine at the Helene Fuld Medical Center in Trenton, N.J.

In addition to being board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Yufit received Russian board certification in anesthesiology and critical care medicine and intensive care neonatology.

He is a member of the American College of Physicians, the American Medical Association and the Massachusetts Medical Society.

  • Having been with my physician at his former practice, it was an adjustment for both of us. However, I found my adjustment relatively easy. Your staff, for the most part, has been gracious and helpful, despite the pandemic and the increase of phone calls.

  • Dr yufit is an excellent doctor however checking in at the front desk is uncomfortable between the distance the glass and the masks yelling private info is uncomfortable to me and feel I should be able to check in with my phone maybe ask the receptionist to call my cell to verify my personal info in the waiting room seems more courteous to me the doctor was excellent the check was excellent the radiology was excellent the check in people can use something to make you feel welcome not like you are a lepor

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
