  • Not telling the patient that he forgot about you and leaving you sitting for over an hour.. being up to date on my medical history

  • Explains how & why very well of procedure I am having,, left me with I am in good hands

  • I saw the provider for 5 minutes, where he looked at my ankle but did not go over the findings of my X-rays. I assumed I was waiting so long for him because he was going over my results but then I had to learn from my MyChart there is still a fracture.

  • I have been to this doctors office twice and was very happy with how I was treated. All the staff I encountered and Dr were great.

  • Dr. O'Donnell was great and answered all my questions he explained all the processes thoroughly and in a way I could understand. [Name] was also amazing she went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of throughout the whole visit she was pesonable, patient and kind. The simple act of just offering a cup of water when she seen I was in discomfort made a world of difference to me. The extra bit of care she provided genuinely made what I'm going through a lot easier to deal with in the moment and is truly appreciated.

  • My doctor took his time to care for my needs. I did not feel rushed. He explained everything very carefully and in a way I could understand.

  • They are very nice and they listen to you if you have any questions or concerns. Their staff are very nice

  • The staff was very friendly and helpful. The doctor was very knowledgeable respectful and pleasant.

  • Dismissive. Offered no solutions. Didn't believe how my injury happened. Failed to explain much of anything. Couldn't get me out of there fast enough. He was honest about a possible treatment with another provider stating that the procedure is unsupported. I liked that bit

  • Very kind staff that made sure my questions were answered. I didn't feel rushed.

  • You listened answered and explained clearly.

  • The assistant [Name] and Doctor O'Donnell were very pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable. Very successful appointment.

  • Was on timeFriendly And went straight to the problem, was gentle with my foot and took care of what needed

  • Attention, quality and efficiency

  • [Name] Dr. O'Donnell and [Name] were informative, thorough, and available to answer any/all questions. Great team to work with.

  • Staff was very friendly and personable. From the reception, nurse, X-ray techs and Dr O'DonnellVery easy to speak with and easy to make a follow up appointment

  • Long wait for appointment to be scheduled.Long wait between time xrays taken until seen by provider in exam room.Provider was very knowledgeable. When fitted for splint- my size was not in stock so I was sent home with one that was too small. The next day I contacted the office and the correct size splint was located at a different office and I had to then pick it up. The staff was helpful in making this happen. Unfortunate that I was unable to receive correct size upon initial visit.

  • Dr. Seth O'Donnell is an excellent medical professional and surgeon. He is caring, extremely knowledgeable, and develops a treatment plan that will resolve your medical issues. I am grateful and thankfull that he is my surgeon.

  • Dr. Answered all my questions and was thorough in his exam. Thank you.

  • Everyone made it a very pleasant office visit. Very professional and courteous.

  • I have had terrible experiences in the past with other offices, like waiting hours or not feeling cared about or often forgotten about. Everyone that I interacted with today was extremely helpful and supportive, as well as incredibly nice. I am usually very nervous about going into doctors offices but I was happily surprised by the way the staff was treating me. Will absolutely recommend this facility to others

  • Dr O'Donnell and the Medical Assistant [Name] is very knowledgeable and really care about the patient

  • X-ray results.Explain to me in detail Let me know the procedures what needed to be done to get me back on my left foot. Walking in the right way. It will take some time, but I believe we'll get the job done.Thank you thanks I'll be back

  • We were seen 45 minutes after our appointment time.

  • Excellent customer service

  • I received a prescription for meloxicam ,and I was not told by the doctor I was getting it. I just got a notification from my pharmacy. So there were no instructions given, not why it was given or anything like that, and that is not very good.

  • Staff, overall needs to be more focused on the patient and just ask questions and then say , "That's all I need." She also said remove both socks and shoes, because he's going to check both feet." Which wasn't the case. A little smile, a look of caring would be nice. She was just going through the process off doing her job.

  • Ended up seeing the provider over and hour after my scheduled appointment. Was told there was a short wait, possibly 15 mins or so but definitely not that long. Was about to leave and head back to work until I heard the provider arrive in the office and see the patient in the next room. Wait 10 mins to get seen. Time with physician was maybe 2 minutes. Definitely could have just been a televisit just to discuss the results of my mri.

  • Everyone was helpful, caring, and professional.

Southcoast Health physician profiles now feature star ratings.  Below, you’ll find frequently asked questions about our process for calculating the ratings.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
