About Noreen Flynn

Noreen Flynn attended Emmanuel College in Boston, MA where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology. Noreen then furthered her knowledge and expertise by earning a Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. Her clinical interests include general gastroenterology care.

Growing up in New Bedford, Noreen was aware of the healthcare disparities that existed in the city and in the greater community. She was driven by the desire to provide quality health services for the region. She decided to join Southcoast Health to contribute to the mission of providing excellent and well-rounded care for patients and the community.

When not at work caring for her patients, Noreen enjoys baking, eating delicious food, and maintaining a balanced life by keeping active and playing field hockey.

  • I have quite an extensive and complicated Health situation, and Noreen Flynn, the nurse practitioner was amazingly involved and up to date with all the care that I've had, the conditions I have, what procedures I've had and going back, a year year and a half, she had all the information at her fingertips. I was very impressed and I felt very comfortable knowing that she's involved with my health care.

  • Greeters (or staff seated at the waiting room window) need to be pleasant and patient, and smile.They should not act as if every patient has read every one of a dozen notices posted on the window, which has become a bulletin board in many cases.

  • There was a misunderstanding about my appointment being over the phone or in the office. Staff corrected the situation efficiently, and was able to still have my appointment via the telephone. All the staff were very courteous and understanding.

  • I had a problem that caused me to want to be seen by a GI. I called for an appointment in late October 2021. Today 2/28/22 was the earliest I could get seen. It's probably not unique to this practice but it's a little distressing how long the waits are

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
