About Noreen Flynn

Noreen Flynn attended Emmanuel College in Boston, MA where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology. Noreen then furthered her knowledge and expertise by earning a Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. Her clinical interests include general gastroenterology care.

Growing up in New Bedford, Noreen was aware of the healthcare disparities that existed in the city and in the greater community. She was driven by the desire to provide quality health services for the region. She decided to join Southcoast Health to contribute to the mission of providing excellent and well-rounded care for patients and the community.

When not at work caring for her patients, Noreen enjoys baking, eating delicious food, and maintaining a balanced life by keeping active and playing field hockey.

  • I very much liked my provider but I would hesitate to recommend anyone to them because the earliest next available followup visit date, from a July initial appointment, was January 4, 2022. This is not the provider's fault.

  • The nurse practitioner Noreen was very easy to talk to. She recommended some follow up tests and explained what they were and why she was ordering them. She presented her information in a clear and concise manner. She also asked if I had experienced any former or new symptoms since I was last seen. She listened to my response and summarized what I said to Verify she understood what I had reported. I ended the call but felt it could have gone on longer if I had any more concerns or questions. I did not feel rushed. Several hours later the labs called to provide the dates, time, and location for each test as well as contact information.   • The PA, Noreen Flynn, was extremely informed and helpful. My concern is the lack of gastroenterologists at SouthCoast. Two, plus, Noreen, is totally understaffed. Not to compare, but [Name] has at least 8. To see Dr. [Name] office closed for now is a reminder of how difficult it is for us in the [Name] area.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
