  • Prefer office visit but provider was very good

  • Although I haven't had the opportunity to meet Dr. Wong in person, she has a terrific personality, very professional and courteous. I didn't feel rushed at all when speaking with her, this was quite refreshing

  • The doctor was so pleasant...she knew my history before she even spoke with me and that means a lot to a patient that she's actually taking time to familiarize our past history...she was so thorough and explained thinks in which I could understand, another plus...for the first time Since leaving my Gastroentetologist from [Name] [Name], I hung up the phone feeling that I was a person not a number... she actually spoke with me for 30 minutes...what doctor does that?! She phenomenal and I'm very happy she is now my Gastroentetologist!

  • Dr Michelle Wong is friendly, informative, and thorough. She was well prepared & knew my past history. She ordered tests & explained why & asked if I felt that they were appropriate and useful. I had to wait for 7 months to get in for an appointment, but it was well worth it! Thank you!

  • I am hard of hearing, so she spoke to my sister more than me, and she talkstoo fast, with the mask on, it makes it even harder. When I left, my sisterhad to explain everything, and I am not senile, just a little deaf.

  • Doctor Wong was very nice and I felt very comfortable during my appointment, she is informative and very easy to talk to.

  • Dr. Wong took the time to listen and tried to make sense of my health experiences. This is not a common attribute.

  • Great visit with Dr. Wong. She was knowledgeable and thoughtful with her questions and with her responses to my questions.

  • Dr. Wong listened carefully and explained everything very clearly.

  • 1st time i saw this provider very pleased with her knowledge of my issue and explanation of treatment plan

  • Dr. Wong asks questions about what ever issue I am having. More importantly, she is very interested in my answers. Good doctor!

  • Dr. Wong is very thorough, well-informed and patient while explaining various treatment options. She answered all of my questions to my complete satisfaction.

  • Telehealth visit was fine

  • Dr. Wong was super helpful, really took the time to, you know look into me and review my history. Made me feel just you know very heard. You know really take the time to explain things to me both that you know hadn't but excuse me before and things moving forward. Just feel very professional. Very friendly. Really easy to talk to. Look forward to seeing her again.

  • Overall, I liked Dr. Wong. One place that there could have been Improvement is I was trying to find out what it is that we were watching for, what the concerns might be and she did mention I wouldn't need a transfusion but it was never really clear and then I called my general practitioner and he told me that essentially I had lost 1 and a half units of blood so that the way I was feeling was real and that I should take iron. So it would have been very helpful if she could have given me that information cause I really didn't know what was wrong with me so... and the solution. My general practitioner was able to give me the reason and the solution. So that would have been helpful if Dr. Wong could have given that to me but overall I'm pleased.

  • I have tumors in my liver and Dr. Wong was very organized about explaining things about it. She showed concern , compassion. She is a good listener. She knows what Dr. [Name] and Dr. [Name] are doing for me.I really like her and would recommend her if someone needed a Gastroenterologist.

  • Dr. Wong was great. She spent time explaining everything. She made sure all my questions were answered.

  • Dr Wong was excellent. She was friendly and very thorough and explained everything to me in a very understandable way.

  • Doctor made a special effort to get me in as soon as possible.

  • Dr.Wong was concerned about me taking a baby aspirin, that it might cause a stomach ulcer. Suggested I take something like Prilosec. Not sure if I need to, I've never had any gastric issues. I always take the aspirin in the morning with my breakfast.

  • very through and personable

  • Smooth and informative appt, Dr Wong was very skilled at questioning and I am confident in her diagnostic abilities. She's a keeper! Really appreciative of the office visit for initial appt but think telehealth will work going forward.

  • Explained health issues and procedures necessary so that I could understand all

Southcoast Health physician profiles now feature star ratings.  Below, you’ll find frequently asked questions about our process for calculating the ratings.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
