About Michael Langworthy

Dr. Langworthy earned his medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He is fellowship trained in adult pelvis and major joint reconstruction at the University of California, San Diego.

A leading advisor on arthritic joint disease to the US military, Dr. Langworthy holds a clinical faculty appointment at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego. He is a current Director of Advanced Trauma Life Support for the US Navy and has published numerous papers and spoken around the world on cartilage and osteoarthritis.

Dr. Langworthy was honored as one of the Top 100 Health Care Professionals of the world in 2013 and is board certified in orthopedic surgery.

I could've enjoyed it more if I didn't spend so much time alone. I was let in about 20 mins. after my appointment time and had a long time alone in the room, but the Dr. Was super easy to speak with and I really liked him. The nurses were nice and friendly. Honestly I have no complaints besides waiting so long and for an app as well, but I'm also aware that covid has delayed a lot.

1)My orthopedic issue is greatly improved following my PRP procedure with Dr. Langworthy.2) My follow up appt was rescheduled with an hour's notice b/c Dr. Langworthy was delayed in surgery. I was greeted very Professional when I got to the office was asked all the appropriate questions What was supposed to be asked and I didn't wait too long there was a little bit of a weight When I got into the room because he was very busy that morning but it was OK when he came into the office he was very well informed on what I was going through what my medical needs are Doctor Langworthy is an awesome orthopedic surgeon I would recommend him to anybody. He also did my knee replacement and haven't had any problem since and now we are working on my shoulder problems

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office. The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
