I just wanted to offer input that there are too many surveys that are requested and everybody short on time it's not enough time In the day to answer a survey about every visit that we have that is not directed specifically at this office. That's more at South Coast in general. Thank you.

  • I like tele health with a NP or PA. But I am hoping that the physician gets the true nature of me as a patient may be in. Information is being given through others that don't necessarily have the expertise. Not to suggest that those that assist the "doctors" are not qualified.

  • My appointment was at 2pm and I wasn't seen until 3. When I met with the provider some kind of an acknowledgement of my time waiting would've been nice. Also, if they are running behind maybe let us know when we check in so we can decide if we can stay. I almost missed another appointment bc of that. My time is just as important as theirs.

  • I waited a half hour and call the doctor's office, and they told me that she was an hour half hour behind and I waited another half hour. And finally, she called me on that. The I believe is the office should have been calling me first to tell me that bye.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
