About Kristen Medeiros

Kristen Medeiros, DNP earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth in North Dartmouth, MA. She furthered her expertise and skills by completing the Doctor of Nursing Practice- Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Program, earning her DNP, at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. Kristen’s clinical interests include Gastroenterology and Primary Care.

Kristen’s caring attitude is felt by every patient that she sees. Patient satisfaction at the end of every visit is important to her, and Kristen makes sure to go above and beyond in her care in order to provide that. Kristen worked for Southcoast Health as a Registered Nurse in the critical care unit for six years, and is familiar with the community she serves. Now, as a Nurse Practitioner, Kristen will continue to provide compassionate care to the Southcoast area.

In her free time, Kristen enjoys reading and caring for animals.

    I was seen as soon as I arrived (before my appointment time). NP Medeiros was extremely knowledgeable about my condition, ulcerative colitis, and discussed the continued course of action in a very clear and concise manner. She went out of her way to make my visit pleasant and to set up meds and tests in the most convenient way for me.

    My primary care doctor sent me to several doctors who not once but twice had told me my weight was because I was just lazy and I was fat. So I do not believe or trust any doctor that my provider sent me to, but this person that they sent me to in Fairhaven, my gastro, was very, very thoughtful, very sweet, very - she's just amazing.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
