About Kristen Medeiros

Kristen Medeiros, DNP earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth in North Dartmouth, MA. She furthered her expertise and skills by completing the Doctor of Nursing Practice- Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Program, earning her DNP, at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. Kristen’s caring attitude is felt by every patient that she sees. Patient satisfaction at the end of every visit is important to her, and Kristen makes sure to go above and beyond in her care in order to provide that. Kristen worked for Southcoast Health as a Registered Nurse in the critical care unit for six years, and is familiar with the community she serves. Now, as a Nurse Practitioner, Kristen will continue to provide compassionate care to the Southcoast area.

In her free time, Kristen enjoys reading and caring for animals.

  • This was the first appointment I had with nurse practitioner. I was seen in the office a few years back. They've always been very polite. Asked me if I had any concerns or questions. Everything was explained very clearly where I understood. I would definitely refer a family if it was necessary.

  • The person doing my vitals before the provider came in was very abrasive and condescending at first. At the end she was a bit nicer.I felt very rushed and brushed off. I feel like the doctor only heard some of my concerns, but not all of them. She explained some symptoms in a way I understood, and didn't even address the rest. I don't appreciate being told my symptoms are likely caused by anxiety. I have dealt with anxiety my whole life and while it may be exacerbating the symptoms I am confident they aren't the cause, and rather my eating disorder likely is. I wish she was willing to talk a bit more with me about the specifics of my symptoms instead of rushing to judgment. She did order a couple of tests though, so I dont feel completely neglected.

I am very grateful for everything they have done for me and continue to do, the doctor or the practitioner who saw me is a great person, I do not explain in detail the procedure that I have undergone with respect to my health and I am very grateful, I I liked it a lot and I give it a 10. Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
