About Jeffrey LaPerriere

Jeffrey LaPerriere, PA-C earned his post-baccalaureate pre-medical degree from Bridgewater State College in Bridgewater, MA. He went on to further his expertise in the medical field by earning a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at the University of New England in Portland, ME. His clinical interests include orthopedics, sports medicine, and emergency medicine.

Through his work as a ski patroller in Vermont, Jeffrey became comfortable and committed to caring for people in their most vulnerable times of need. However, he found that he wanted to continue to care for patients even after they left the slopes. This is ultimately what inspired him to enter the medical field and become a physician assistant. His interests in emergency medicine and orthopedics are a reflection of where it all started for Jeffrey.

Jeffrey’s personal philosophy of care involves taking a personal approach with each of his patients. He aims not to just treat a condition, but the whole person. This holistic approach is what allows Jeffery to offer patients care that will provide them with the best long-term outcomes and quality of life.

Outside of work, Jeffrey enjoys the outdoors – skiing, mountain biking and kayaking among other activities. He is a member of the New England Mountain Biking Association, volunteering his time introducing people to the state forest and surrounding bio-reserves through group rides and hikes.

  • The triage nurse was so supportive and encouraging, the PA was fantastic, he listened to me, and came up with an appropriate action plan to fix what I had injured, and was super kind the entire time.

  • I met With Jeffrey L. He assessed my shoulder and came up with a tx plan to include an mri to r/o structural damage to the rotator cuff. The medical assistant as well as the receptionist were also very professional. The only mishap is that I had to wait in line for 20 minutes to check in due to only one receptionist was checking in people and she was helping another patient on the phone. My suggestion is to check the patients standing in line first and put the caller on hold. Other than that great experience.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
