  • Explained everything to me and took the time needed. Greatly appreciated

  • I was given different options about treatment and together we decided the best course. The office promptly followed up after on next steps and answered questions. No comments for improvement.

  • Other than the call being 20 min late, my call was a very good experience. Dr. Verma is always professional, informed, friendly, and overall great at his job. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone.

  • I'm very impressed with the care that Dr. Verma gave me. He is sending me to an allergist for my situation that I have where I have a very bad food allergy and he's also following up for my esophagus with my medication and doubling it so that I can be more comfortable with my eating also he is recommending an endoscopy for me. So I feel that he is concerned with my health and taking the proper steps to give great patient care. Thank you. Have a nice day.

  • No problems. Very competent & helpful.

  • I don't us my cell phone online much but the cell phone visit was easy. DR. was very nice.

  • The appointment was exactly on time. Given the situation of a telehealth visit, I thought it went well. Considering the physician had never met me, he was attentive and seemed knowledgeable regarding my particular issues. I felt as comfortable as realistically possible considering the type of visit this was. The physician was quite gentle and kind. All of the individuals with whom I spoke prior to the telehealth appointment were all very kind and patient. All in all it went well and I consider this type of visit, although not ideal, a good alternative.

  • Dr Verma is very down to earth. He does not make one feel uncomfortable when asking questions..

  • Dr. VERMA is very thorough and always goes over my care or change of care. I would recommend him to anyone who need a great gastro.

  • really enjoyed seeing and speaking to Dr Verma...

  • My appt was via telephone. It was pleasant and informative.

  • Dr Verma gave many options for the contact . We were able to make face to face contact via FaceTime. He gave me next steps .

  • Dr. Verma listened to my concerns and tried to help me as best as we could and because I have evidently a very complicated case. I have a lot of problems and he is trying to help me.

  •  I'd like to state that Dr. Verma was very kind and courteous on the telephone. He took time with me. Like he would've had an office visit during the covid 19 crisis. He alleviated some of my fears about. my condition and he helped with my medication and plan to kind of cut down on what I'm taking. This was encouraging to me and also he expressed that I could call if I don't feel well and that there would be a path going forward. I was very happy with the care I received.

Southcoast Health physician profiles now feature star ratings.  Below, you’ll find frequently asked questions about our process for calculating the ratings.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
