About Christian Dee

Dr. Dee graduated with honors from the University of Wales with a bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from Leicester University Medical School in the U.K., and then completed an internship in general surgery at the State University of New York at Stony Brook followed by a residency in Orthopedic Surgery.

After completing fellowship training at the University of California, San Francisco, Dr. Dee moved back home to New England. He spent 12 years in private practice in Connecticut and has enjoyed treating patients with a variety of orthopedic conditions including knee, hip and upper extremity problems such as work-related injuries and carpal tunnel syndrome.  

Dr. Dee performs the most current arthroscopic and total joint procedures of the knee, hip and shoulder and is trained in the latest robotic partial knee replacement technology. Dr. Dee is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and he is board certified in Orthopedic Surgery.

  • The doctor didn't even look at my knee or my chart he didn't take new x-rays. I dont feel like he even listen to the fact that I am in pain

  • My doctor was 30+ minutes late seeing me. Doc recommended knee replacement for me, but there was no time to discuss this in any detail. I now have several questions but I do have a follow up appointment this coming week so will get the info I need.

  • I have been going to this provider for a very long Time! They have been very concerned about my physical enablements. They are providing the best care available to me at this Time! My Chefcomplaints are with Medicare to provide me with the proper DME to be able to live and get around. Without the proper equipment I am more of a risk to fall and hurt myself.

  • This was a first appoint with Dr. Dee. I scheduled it because ER staff recommended I see an orthopedic physician due to an infection of my elbow, caused by a fall, where I landed directly on my left elbow.The radiologist at St Luke's was concerned that I might have Fracture of a bone in elbow area.Dr Dee was very attentive, he showed me the x-rays, and indicated where the the question was.Dr. Dee assured me the THERE WAS NO FRACTURE. He then checked the "sore" at tip of the elbow, told me there was a significant bruise, and some infection. He put a cover on it and a wrap around shoulder. I am painless, and the infection is definitely healing. He also gave me an antiseptic wash to use on the problem areaDr. Dee was very informative and clear in his explanation. I did not require any assistance in other areas.

  • Wait time was only a few minutes . Doctor Dee was most helpful with my all my latest pain issues . Upon signing out the receptionist [Name] was excellent helping me with all my pre op appointments . In all it was a 5 star office visit !!!!!

  • Once you had (INAUDIBLE) in the office, you quickly took on to take X-rays. You ask me questions about my health, you and wanted to know more most about my injury when it happened And how did it happen And I also thought the quick response to giving me some medicine that I take care of it Which was done in the office was extremely helpful and immediately after I had no pain and and actually 2 days later I have still have no pain with my knee. So I felt that the appointment was a success and the care that the doctor had taken to get me to this point. It is very much appreciated.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
