Southcoast Health welcomes New Year’s babies at St. Luke’s Hospital, Charlton Memorial Hospital and Tobey Hospital

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. — The first New Year’s baby born in the South Coast region arrived at St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford at 12:36 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 1, 2018. Lizette Rivera, of New Bedford, and Nicholas Hebert, of Fairhaven, welcomed a baby girl, Trinity Lee Hebert, weighing 5 pounds, 8.5 ounces, and measuring 20 inches. Trinity is Lizette’s seventh child.

Ashlee Gallant and Russell Poliquin, both of Westport, welcomed a son, Jacob Paul Poliquin, at 7:47 a.m. on Monday at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River. Jacob weighed 4 pounds, 4 ounces, and measured 17.5 inches at birth.

Tobey Hospital in Wareham welcomed its first baby of 2017 at 10:36 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 4. Fall River’s Stephanie Valente, with her husband, Nathan, gave birth to a son, Grayson Joseph Valente, who weighed 8 pounds, 3 ounces, and measured 21 inches. This is the couple’s second child.

Each of the three New Year’s babies received a stuffed animal and $100 gift card to Babies”R”Us donated by the St. Luke’s Hospital Auxiliary, Auxiliary of Charlton Memorial Hospital and the Tobey Hospital Guild.
