Southcoast Health named one of the healthiest employers in Massachusetts by the Boston Business Journal

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. — Southcoast Health announced today that it has been recognized as one of the finalists for the Boston Business Journal’s seventh-annual Healthiest Employers program, which will be held Thursday, Aug. 3, at Community Rowing Inc. in Boston, Mass.

“Building healthy workplaces makes great business sense,” said Carolyn M. Jones, Boston Business Journal market president and publisher. “We are honored to highlight the companies that focus their efforts on strengthening their employee engagement efforts, enhancing their recruiting and talent-retention and lowering the costs of healthcare for themselves and, by extension, all of us.”

The Healthiest Employers finalists are chosen through an assessment process consisting of 75 scored questions that are completed by the participating companies. Honorees will be highlighted in a special section of the Boston Business Journal on Aug. 3, while each company’s scores and final rankings will be revealed at the event on the same day.

In partnership with its third-party research and survey manager, Springbuk, the Boston Business Journal evaluated nominee initiatives in the following six categories: leadership commitment, foundational components, strategic planning, communication and marketing, programming and interventions, and reporting and analysis.
