NEW BEDFORD, Mass. – Southcoast Health honored employees at the annual Employee Recognition Banquet, who have reached significant milestone years of service across the health system including  its three hospitals – Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River, St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford, and Tobey Hospital in Wareham. The 2014 Employee Recognition Ceremony was held on Friday, May 30, at the Venus de Milo in Swansea.

Hovan, President & CEO of Southcoast Health System and Southcoast Hospitals Group. “This year, over 800 Southcoast employees are celebrating their milestone anniversaries. Those honored this year represent 14,355 years of experience that benefits all of our patients every day. That’s what makes going to a Southcoast hospital, physician or outpatient facility so special – the sense of neighborliness and family that accompanies great care and decades of experience. It is the combination of these qualities that makes Southcoast the workplace of choice. Thank you to all of our Southcoast employees for all you do for our patients – and each other – every day.”

Southcoast Health System’s employees are recognized at five-year intervals for years of continuous service based on their date of hire. This year Southcoast celebrated 825 employees with anniversaries beginning at five years and going up to 50 years.
