Urgent Care

The South Coast Emergency Medical Services (EMS) systems provide care to southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island. The municipal 911 systems of the South Coast, as well as the private ambulance services follow the same model of care as Southcoast Health – provide the best possible health care, whenever it is needed.

The South Coast EMS systems are staffed with highly-trained paramedics and emergency medical technicians who are qualified and knowledgeable. Our EMTs ensure patients get appropriate medical services, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, in the communities they proudly serve.

Southcoast Health is grateful for our regional EMS partnerships. Together, strong collaboration and state-of-the-art advanced life support equipment allow us to improve patient outcomes and ultimately save more lives.

Celebrating EMS Week

Every year in May, Southcoast Health joins the country in celebrating our EMS partners. EMS is a crucial but often unsung part of ensuring the public’s health and safety.

This week, we would like to take the opportunity to take the opportunity to say a huge “THANK YOU” to all of our community EMS partners across the region. Thank you for your dedication. Thank you for your empathy and your devotion to patient care. Thank you for taking the time to keep our residents safe 365 days a year.
