Fall River-born Family Medicine physician Dr. Kevin Gendreau joins Southcoast Health

FAIRHAVEN, Mass. — Southcoast Health announced today that Family Medicine physician Kevin Gendreau, MD, has joined Southcoast Physicians Group.

Dr. Gendreau earned his bachelor’s degree at Boston University before completing his medical degree at Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia. He completed his residency in Family Medicine at Cambridge Health Alliance and Carney Hospital through Tufts University. He also received an Honorarium for Prostate Cancer Research from the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

Dr. Gendreau is a member of American Academy of Family Physicians and the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine. His clinical interests include quality improvement, weight loss, dermatology, behavioral pediatrics and adolescent medicine.

A Fall River native, Dr. Gendreau was born at Charlton Memorial Hospital and is happy to start practice while returning to the South Coast.

In his spare time, Dr. Gendreau has helped run a free clinic for uninsured patients, authors and edits children’s books, enjoys creative writing, and is engaged in early childhood literacy initiatives.
