About Zoe Vazquez MD
Dr. Zoe G. S. Vazquez earned her medical degree from Albany Medical College in New York. She then went on to complete both a residency in Internal Medicine and a fellowship in pulmonary, critical care and sleep medicine at Brown University and Rhode Island Hospital. Dr. Vazquez specializes in pulmonary and critical care and has clinical interests in cystic fibrosis, bronchiectasis, pulmonary vascular disease, and critical care medicine.
Medicine allowed Dr. Vazquez to combine her interest in science with her passion to help others. In this field, she developed a strong interest in pulmonary/critical care medicine as she enjoyed caring for high-acuity patients in the ICU. Dr. Vazquez follows the philosophy of care that every patient regardless of race, ethnicity, or socioeconomic status deserves access to health care. She also believes in the importance of empowering patients by teaching them as much as possible about their health, medical conditions and medications.
Outside of the office, Dr. Vazquez enjoys cooking, playing the piano, and spending time with her family. She loves that Southcoast Health provides people living in Southeastern Massachusetts access to top-notch healthcare in their community without having to travel to Boston.

Dr. Vazquez was a very good listener. Did not feel rushed at all. Did not feel like I was just a number. Support staff—from the initial contact over the phone, the intake woman who helped with my new medicare coverage, the nurse who took vitals and the gal who checked me out (who also assisted in trying to find me a GP or nurse practitioner—as I am new to the area) was so very helpful! 10 out of 10!

I was very pleased with the care provided by Dr. Vazquez. She explained everything in a simple and understandable way. She took her time listening and answered accordingly. What i did not care for was the medical assistant who got me settled in asking me why I requested a switch in provider. She stated the Dr. was going to ask her. I dont believe that was true as it seemed rather unprofessional to ask in that setting.
