Dr. DaCunha earned her medical degree from Rostov-on-Don Medical State University in Rostov-on-Don, Russian Federation. She completed her residency in anesthesiology from Rostov City General Hospital in Rostov-on-Don, Russian Federation. She also completed a residency in family medicine from St. Francis Hospital in Wilmington, Del.

She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Delaware Academy of Family Physicians, the American Medical Association and the Medical Society of Delaware.

  • Dr. Dacunha is one of the nicest doctors I've ever been to in my life. She listens, she's patient, she pretty much does what you're hoping she will do and she's very kind and doesn't rush you, she's just a wonderful person.

  • Doximity doesn't work, I was unable to use my smart phone for a face to face with my Doctor. I won't know if it works until the next time my Doctor sets up another teleconference there is no method to work out problems with this app. I talked with them directly and all they said was "wow we've never seen anything like that before!". Might be my last teleconference this was my second try. Please help.

  • Hi, I think one opportunity to improve would be the pre-registration and call back. The call wait times to preregister were lengthy, over 10 minutes and I couldn't stay on for the first time and so I called back and they were lengthy again, so maybe there could be a special call back number for people with scheduled appointments. Thank you.

  • I waited in the waiting room for an hour and then another 25 minutes in Exam room and saw the doctor for 5 minutes. This was suppose to be my yearly physical.

  • Yeah, she talked about stuff from the paperwork that I was given to markdown this and markdown that but she didn't talk about any of the stuff that I talked to the whoever it was. Assistant nurse practitioner nurse whoever came in and did my blood pressure and stuff. I told her some things that I figured she would tell the doctor and then the doctor and I could discuss it not nothing like she never even talked to that lady. So yeah now there's a big room for improvement here. Okay. Bye.

  • From walking into building being screened to proceed to my appointment and registration the receptionist the Medical Assistant and Dr DaCuna all gave exceptional care and staff always so friendly and caring above and beyond

  • Both the Dr. And nurse's are good listeners and Dr. Dachuna has very good bedside manners. She looks into something throughly before ruling it out and jumping to decisions.

  • The staff was well versed in the telehealth mode of communication.

  • Telehealth platform is inadequate. Audio was choppy & difficult to understand. My provider had to end the remote video and call me on my cell phone.Telehealth for follow up visits or sick visits needing to be triaged are useful but for an annual physical is inadeqaute. How is my MD going to perform a complete head to toe assessment remotely? After visit summaries are useless. I expect a summary to include the situation, the assessment, the plan, and follow up instructions specific to that visit. Something more like a progress note. Instead, it is basically a medication list followed by pages of legal rhetoric. A summary should be a SUMMARY.

  • Upon entering the building due to COVID I was to stand and wait for the greeter to attend to me. She was seated at the table looking off to her left, there was no one nearby, o said good morning twice before she looked at me- she was not very friendly, nor polite on asking questions. As the first person to interact with, this is not a good way to start the appointment process

  • I am very happy with the care I receive from my PCP, although the waiting time on 8/18/20 was more than usual. I had to wait one hour to be seen. My appointment was at 3 PM amd I was not seen until 4. It was very uncomfortable for me to sit with my mask on for over an hour in the waiting area and then another hour to be with my PCP.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
