At Southcoast Health, we strive to deliver exceptional patient care along with an exceptional patient experience. We appreciate all of your feedback and share your comments to recognize the wonderful care our teams provide to you as well as identify areas for improvement.

  • Dr. Charest, as always, is attentive, thorough and genuine.

  • Dr. Charest always listens to me when I talking really listens. She return emails promptly and goes above and beyond when she knows I'm nervous or upset

  • Listened and answered questions

  • Good care and make sure to make me feel secure

  • Not a thing

  • As usual, Dr. Charest was energetic, pleasant, professional and comprehensive in my care. I didn't feel rushed and felt valued as a patient. The M.A. [Name] was also very pleasant and professional. [Name] is a breath of fresh air - patient focused, kind, compassionate, knowledgeable. A few areas for improvement (and the reasons for the facility 7 rating)-- I do wish the office team wore name tags (and/or in a place where patients could see their names). I only learned of [Name] name because Dr. Charest referred to her by name. The ladies who checked me in and checked me out did not have name tags visible to the patient. In exam room 5, there are cob webs hanging from the ceiling/along the wall across from where the patient sits. Apparently, the lady who checked me in was supposed to ask a COVID travel screening question. She did not. She only asked me if I was feeling well that day. [Name] later mentioned this travel question and that I would have been asked at check-in, but I wasn't. The key reason I rated the facility a 7 is LPN [Name] When I recently had a healthcare question and [Name] and I spoke over the phone, instead of taking a few moments to explain something to me and have a conversation, she rudely and surprisingly hung up on me. She admitted this later in a MyChart message and still chose not to apologize to the patient. To me, [Name] hanging up on me meant "you don't matter" and "we don't care about you." This is not a good feeling as a patient and it even made me uncomfortable to go to Dr. Charest's office. If [Name] hadn't hung up on me, I would have rated the facility a 9. Thank you.

  • Dr. Charest and her team are new to me and I am very pleased with their care and to be part of South Coast. Health.

  • The doctor and staff are very good at being attentive and listening to my needs, and seeing me in a timely manner when I call up for an appointment or have any questions. They always call me back when I leave a message the same day. If I have doctors and staff like this for my whole life, I will be blessed. Thank you and thank them for me.

  • So I have no complaints about the Salida. Dr.Charest absolutely wonderful 100% of the time. However, the office staff, leave a lot to be desired. Rude, comments, condescending comments, lack of direction. Actually, somebody open the door while I was getting changed because the person who had left me, after taking my blood pressure ,and some initial information. Didn't flag the door, so they thought no one was in there. That was lovely. The girl who interrupted, apologize profusely, but the girl who made the mistake could have cared less. Reception was not very friendly, and check out was absolutely horrible. There's no instruction. There's no place to wait. It's very constricted, and especially in times of covid. There needs to be better like exit strategies. Everyone is on top of everyone. When I went to the checkout window. The girl wasn't on the phone, or with a person.

  • Doctor Charest is amazing, she is an A++ Doctor, very knowledgeable, informative, always gives you her full attention. She was made to be a Doctor, at this time it can not be easy dealing with COVID - The nurse who first saw me was excellent, as well.

  • Very clean efficient friendly office! Dr Charest is awesome! Even the lab tech who had trouble drawing my blood was very nice, considerate and professional

  • Tina Charest is a brilliant, caring woman. It's a blessing having her as our family doctor

  • Dr Tina Charest is an exemplary health care provider, she is bright, insightful and compassionate.

  • You can improve my experience at your office, by not sending me a survey every time I go to an appointment. Thank you very much.

  • The employees were very helpful and polite

  • Everyone was friendly and helpful. They appreciated who I was as a person and not just another patient—respectful. The doctor said all the right things as to getting my records to wanting to be very informed about me. She again made me feel important by listening to me and making a plan.

  • That staff and doctor are all so nice. They always make you feel comfortable and ask if I have any concerns about my health. I have recommended them to people looking for a doctor.

  • Dr. Charest is always thorough

  • Dr Charest is an excellent physician!

  • Staff are always pleasant. I do wish there were nurses (higher education) instead of medical assistants to speak to when calling regarding an issue. The provider I saw is usually always very pleasant and thorough, however, during this visit, I felt a little rushed and not as thorough. A large portion of the brief visit consisted of an overbearing Covid 19 vaccine discussion. I understand, a provider's job is to teach but should not carry on and take over the visit and be made to make the patient feel as though that is the most important. I was provided teaching regarding a different issue I was having once during visit and it was not continued so a discussion regarding the vaccine could have been had once as well. carrying on a discussion regarding the vaccine completely took away from this visit. It was overbearing and a little frustrating.

  • Dr. Charest and her staff are amazing and excellent and professional in every way possible. She listened to me and took care of every detail of information and request, and concern that I had, I couldn't be happier with my care that I received from her. Thank you. Bye.

  • Dr Charest is an exceptional provider. I was called upon right at my appointment time but had to wait about15 minutes in the exam room which is better than previous appointments.

  • During my visit, there was a patient coughing up a storm. This worried me. The staff took care of the situation at once and sanitize everything.

  • Staff was pleasant but running late. I was surprised at this as they even called me the day before to go over COVID questions, med reconciliation and other questions the MA used go through before seeing the MD. Also of note, the entrance door to that office needs some oil! I had to sit in the waiting room for about 10 minutes and listen to it whine/creak every time someone entered. I feel bad for the poor secretary who has to listen to that all day long!! Should be fixed ASAP!

  • Dr Charest is kind caring and knowledgeable

  • The staff & provider was courteous & professional. Having a lab on site is ideal!

  • Dr Charest was incredible! So prepared having read my past medical information and thoroughly engaged during our visit. She is someone I can trust with my health.

  • Everything was just perfect. All my needs and requests met.

  • Love Dr. Charest! She always treated me with kindness and understanding. Recommend her to all!

Southcoast Health physician profiles now feature star ratings.  Below, you’ll find frequently asked questions about our process for calculating the ratings.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
