  • In the last year that I have been treated at Southcoast Cancer Center I find the services provided to be excellent!!

  • I arrived to my appointment a little late due to me going to the wrong building. When I arrived [Name]at the front desk made the comment "you know your appt was at 9, right?" I told her I went to the wrong building and she proceeded to give me an attitude and said "I will have to message the doctor to see if I should register you because everyone is coming in late today. Have a seat and fill out this paperwork while I wait for her to get back to me". Once the doctor messaged her back stating she should register me, she proceeded to verify my information across the waiting room instead of calling me up to the desk. She was very rude and unprofessional.

  • Dr risz listens, even when not a matter dealing with my past cancer scare. Very caring and helpful.

  • Doctor presented bad news very bluntly and uncaring. A very much different explanation of my medical situation was given today, than the explanation and forecast that I was given a week ago.the Doctor was talking in a monotone voice, and was reluctant to answer questions, or tell why she changed her prognosis. There had been no testing between our last two meetings. Just a change in what she had said from Wednesday to Wednesday.

  • The doctor was confident and sympathetic! Phlebotomy staff and admin staff were a pleasure!

  • I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Rizk. She listens, she's thorough, she follows through and she has kept me alive and essentially healthy even though my diagnosis is Stage 4 metastatic melanoma. Currently the CT scans are clear, but that's all thanks to Dr Rizk. I couldn't ask for a better oncologist.

  • Always a great experience with Dr Rizk and the infusion department.

  • Very good

  • Very good keep up good work

  • just real good

  • The entire staff was so nice from checking in to checking out! I thought Dr. Rizk was absolutely wonderful. Also I have never had a good experience having my blood drawn even she was excellent. I had a good visit with this office. I thank all of them

  • This was my first time coming and I was very pleased away. I was treated. Everything was very satisfactory. Thank you so much.

  • I wish it hadn't taken so long to get an appt. it was nearly 2 months.

  • I just love Dr Sophia Rizk?? She is very genuine & personable… She listens to my concerns & explains my test results in an easy to understand manner. I would highly recommend her to anyone going through cancer treatment & after care??

  • Arrived about ten minutes before my appointed time. After about 3 minutes waiting I was taken in for my labs, and less than five minutes later was taken in for my appointed meeting with the DR. After a completely un-rushed meeting with the DR. my appointment was completed. I left the building approximately fifteen minutes after my initial scheduled meeting time. What a great experience.... had two appointments and left the building in approximately 25 minutes! That is the way appointments are suppose to work!!

  • All good, I have no complaint

  • Everyone was great. Dr. Rizk is an asset to Southcoast Health.

  • Kind caring all the way. Thank you

  • Dr. Risk is great

  • Going there was very scary once I was there the staff was very kind and comforting.

  • I am very impressed with the care, compassion and exceptional follow up on the tests and concerns shown during this process.

  • Dr rizk is patient and supportive.

  • Dr. Rizk is beyond amazing and staff were helpful and kind

  • Dr Rivk was a dream, a pleasure! I wish she could be my provider for *everything* - she's that terrific. Anticipating questions, communicating clearly, sharing critical knowledge, offering information and next steps. And she just really knows her stuff. Thanks!

  • Being able to see my Dr on the website and listen to her regarding the field of care she specializes is was VERY helpful

  • The doctor really listened and thought about ramifications of what I'm experiencing. Very empathetic.

  • Everything was good everything was understandable they were very nice and very knowledgeable.

  • I found everyone to be professional, knowledgeable, and caring.

  • I did not rate as "best provider possible" because I have no experience with others. I consider that I am receiving excellent care and Dr. Risz is listening to me.

  • I visit with Dr Rizk for my condition. Her attention to my questions and attempts to link other related conditions are responded to with equal interest and reassurance. I am thankful to have her as a co-advocate for my health.

  • Great experience, Dr Rizk was very informative and listened to and addressed my concerns. The staff was great too.

  • Nice job.

  • Caring, helpful staff.

  • As always, visit was of high quality.

  • Always have good communication and empathy from Dr Rizk and staff. Top rated professional

  • Dr. Rizk is the best!

  • Everyone was pleasant, respectful, and professional. The doctor took time to explain things and answered all of my questions and concerns.

  • Very Satisfied

  • Oncologist needs to add compassion an hope to her interaction with patient (myself) was feeling good and she brought me way down

  • Excellent care!!!

  • Dr. Rizk is an excellent physician, she takes the time to listen to all my concerns and explains everything very clearly

  • Everyone very pleasant. Dr Rizk very kind and she appeared interested and took time with me. Greatly appreciated that.

  • Dr. Rizk, is a consummate professional. She takes time to explain. Test results, to answer questions. She's interactive and smiling the entire time. She takes personal notice of her patients. I couldn't ask for a better oncologist or hematologist. Very very satisfied with Dr. Rizk.

  • This was a phone appointment so I did not have any contact with any staff other than my doctor. You need to add n/a to the first 2 questions for the phone appointments. When I went in 2 weeks ago for blood work everything went smoothly, I was in and out in 10 minutes ( love it).

  • He thoroughly explained my expected treatment and options in a way that way easy to understand.

  • Clear concise responses

  • Yes, the only thing is a family member couldn't come with me into the room and I really don't remember too many things. I need them with me. So. That's all I got to say. Bye.

  • The patient is my 94 year old, very hard of hearing mother. Because I was not allowed in with her for her appointment, your office arranged for me to leave my name & phone number so Dr Rizk could call me while the appointment proceeded. NO CALL. My mother heard virtually nothing that was said to her during the appointment. I get the whole precaution thing with covid & thought the phone call was a great idea. Very disappointing when the call didn't happen.

  • Dr. Rizk is very patient oriented. She goes above and beyond to provide the best patient care.

  • Extremely pleasant staff, very comfortable atmosphere

Southcoast Health physician profiles now feature star ratings.  Below, you’ll find frequently asked questions about our process for calculating the ratings.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
