  • Hekped me resolve an issue, and recommended me to a desired specialist.

  • Front Desk staff needs confidentiality lessons. Never read back patient information to confirm! ALWAYS ask patient the information to assure you have the correct response!!!! Never asked about Social Determinants nor RX costs! Took almost a week to get a response from a My Chart message!!

And then she got me hooked up with a pellet doc appointment with Sherry, and then the person you called before that.   • The only thing i found frustrating is staff was able to see my drs note and it was not coming up on the site just end of visit paperwork. I called office back they advised to call the help center and they were clueless. After i called office back that representative confirmed he could see note also and asked to have it resubmitted which shortly after i was able to retrieve the document.

  • It was my annual visit and we had a bad audio connection. I wish that could have been rectified before we began. It interfered with our visit. Sherry couldn't hear me and I couldn't hear her most of the time. We mostly had to worry about that and not me, it was distracting. (All of my other doctors are seeing me in person.) I also can't give you my own blood pressure and pulse. The nurse said I was supposed to draw a clock and answer some questions for Medicare and I never was asked to do that. I did get some questions answered and Sherry was nice.

  • I just my father was my fault. I forgot to mention one thing. and course is so hard to get through on the telephone. Everyone else is having the same problem. So I just have to learn patience, I guess. So I have to pick a time in the day when I bought my patients a call back about something. Thank you.

  • My biggest complaint is the hold times when phoning the office. I called several times this past week and the shortest amount of time I was on hold was 16 minutes. One day I waited on hold for 24 minutes BEFORE I even spoke to a person. Apart from that, I have had good experiences with the staff and medical providers.

  • Saw Sherry, Physician's Asst., on very short notice. She was excellent, explained everything and took care of my issue right away. Her assistant was excellent as well. Everyone was pleasant, personable and very helpful. Great service!

  • COVID19 response and policies were reassuring. I often feel that there is little/no interest in whole body well being but more priority given to a specific complaint. I wish providers would provide a whole body perspective and initiate conversations about other issues I may be having but haven’t given much attention to or even noticed.

Southcoast Health physician profiles now feature star ratings.  Below, you’ll find frequently asked questions about our process for calculating the ratings.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
