  • Sarah was awesome, very knowledgeable, she listened, answered questions. My recommendation is that the intake person before the appointment, she was kind of rude and had an attitude when I asked a question and very quick and not personable at all. That was not a comfortable interaction over the phone. But Sarah, the health care provider, was awesome.

  • The medical assistant who roomed me was wonderful. Extremely personable and caring. Unfortunately I can't say the same for the NP I saw. I feel as though she rushed through my visit, didn't really examine me or listen to me. It was as though she didn't want to be there and she wasn't. I don't think she spent 5 minutes with me. I don't think she took my concerns seriously . I don't feel confident that my concerns were thoroughly addressed

  • Actually, I felt that it could have been done over the telephone. She did not physically examined me. She took my blood pressure and listened to my breathing, when I have an extreme pain in my lower abdomen and my upper leg. She did not touch it to check for anything. She checked, my breathing and blood pressure. Then, she said she was going to schedule for me for an ultrasound. I said, "how soon will that be?", and she said...well, first she said an x-ray and I said, wouldn't a CAT Scan be better, and she agreed. And she said, "I don't know. I don't schedule those. You have to go up front." So I went up front. They said it'll be in a week on Monday, and they said, oh, but that's...and I said, "Is there anything sooner? I'm in"*

  • I told them my health care changed. They sent me to my physical and was told to make a lab appointment . Upon making my lab appointment , the other secretary said they don't take my health insurance and I'm gonna be charged for the visit. So thanks .

  • Yes, I had mrs. Moniz nurse practitioner. She was excellent in great detail, suggestion, examined me excellent and discussed of different what they want to do with my treatment plan was excellent. Thank you.

I've been at the office with the doctor, with nothing gets followed up. They ... they tell me to do blood tests, but they said ... they say they're going to call, but no one ever calls. People today were awesome. Sarah Moniz, and the nurse.

  • The provider failed to listen to me she didn't let me complete a full sentence to tell her what, my chief complaint was. She talked over me and she didn't address any of the reasons why I was there.

Southcoast Health physician profiles now feature star ratings.  Below, you’ll find frequently asked questions about our process for calculating the ratings.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
