About Ronald Rapoport

Dr. Rapoport is Chief of Rheumatology. He is board certified in internal medicine and rheumatology.

Dr. Rapoport earned his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine and will see patients at 1030 President Avenue in Fall River.

His main areas of focus include the variousarthritidies such as rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthristis, gout, lupus, ankylosing spondylitis and psoriatic arthritis as well as osteoporosis. He was an intern and junior resident at Michael Reese Hospital and Medical Center. He completed his residency in internal medicine and his fellowship in rheumatology at The Medical College of Wisconsin.

Dr. Rapoport is a fellow of the American College of Rheumatology. He is a member the National Osteoporosis Foundation, and the Fall River Medical Society. His past publications have focused on the management of acute pain, and the treatment of osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, and rheumatoid arthritis.
He is a diplomat of the National Board of Medical Examiners and of ABIM (subspecialty of rheumatology), and a certified clinical densitometrist.

I have had been into the hospital a few times with PMR, and I went to Dr. Rappaport today, and the experiments was absolutely absolutely great.   • So, the doctor was very knowledgeable, very helpful. Although the wait staff, especially the person in the front desk for Dr. Rappaport, had a very poor bed side manner, and she was possibly one of the reasons my husband will not be returning to this facility.

  • I would not recommend this office because they move their location and don't inform the patients. An email gets sent the day before with the wrong address and when you arrive at the wrong address, they tell you the new address. Once you get to the new address, there's no sign to inform you which room the provider is in and you have to walk around asking other office workers if they know where Dr. Rapport is located in which no one does know. The office manager should at least change the automatic email and put a sign with the doctor's name and office location in the lobby. VERY POORLY MANAGED!!!

  • The care was great and the staff is very nice. I understand that the office space is temporary, but the registration set-up does not make for a smooth connection. The staff is not visible, making it difficult to know who is speaking. Conversation among the staff added to that difficulty.

  • It would have been nice to be informed of a change in location prior to my appointment. I was never told the practice moved to a different building causing me to be late. Otherwise everything was fine

That is the fault of...the hospital I guess and the number of people trying to park there. Otherwise, everything was great.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
