About Robert Fruggiero

Dr. Fruggiero completed his medical degree at New York Medical College, and his Family Medicine Residency at Brown University. Previously, he graduated summa cum laude from the University of Rhode Island with a Bachelor of Science in Biology.

In his spare time Dr. Fruggiero enjoys playing the piano, singing, reading science fiction and considers himself an amateur astronomer.

I am very satisfied with my PCP Dr Robert Fruggerio! No complaints whatsoever. He has helped in many instances, outside of regular checkups, when i have asked. I am very lucky to have had him, especially at one time, when I really needed guidance about getting a new mental health NP! He is very caring, understanding, & knowledgeable, & gives his time, even one time, calling back on a zoom chat! Many thanks to my PCP, & Southcoast Health!

I waited 47 minutes for my appointment. I was scheduled for my annual physical on Friday, September 8, 1:30 PM. I did not see Dr.Robert Fruggiero until 2:17 PM. Ordinarily, I would not complain, because I understand the healthcare industry. On this particular day I had to go to work directly from the appointment, so the 47 minute back up was an inconvenience. Otherwise , I would wait forever for Dr Fruggiero. He is a shooting star.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office. The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
