About Robert Fruggiero

Dr. Fruggiero completed his medical degree at New York Medical College, and his Family Medicine Residency at Brown University. Previously, he graduated summa cum laude from the University of Rhode Island with a Bachelor of Science in Biology.

In his spare time Dr. Fruggiero enjoys playing the piano, singing, reading science fiction and considers himself an amateur astronomer.

Dr. Fruggerio is the best primary care provider that i have ever had. He goes above and beyond. He is very understanding and very thorough. He goes over everything. Every dr and every medication. He explains everything so that you understand. He will answer every question that you have and if he doesn't know about something he will find out. He is incredibly smart and very down to earth. My visit was like a well oiled machine: I checked in online, so spent no time in the office doing that. I was called into the inner office to be weighed in a timely manner. Dr. Fruggiero is always attentive and he is always willing to spend the time and take the time to discuss the medical issues and to go over any problems or discuss anything that you have. He's not in a hurry to rush you out of his office. He's always willing to take the time, like I said, to basically help you through and understand and talk with you. He is a very good doctor and I would definitely recommend him to my family, my friends, to go to him. I do appreciate his patience and the courtesy that he gives to me and my family because my husband goes there too. The staff is also great, so I do appreciate the staff. So just going to the doctors is a good experience every time I go to the doctors.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office. The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
