About Priscilla Shube

Dr. Shube specializes in family medicine and is in practice at the Swansea Family Practice Group in Swansea. In addition, she is on the active medical staff of Charlton Memorial Hospital.

Dr. Shube earned her medical degree from the University of Vermont College of Medicine in Burlington, and completed her residency in family medicine at Middlesex Memorial Hospital in Connecticut.

She is a clinical assistant professor of family medicine at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.

Board certified in family medicine, Dr. Shube is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Massachusetts Academy of Family Physicians.

  • It was very nice that the doctor got to see me because I had a serious problem with my ear, and it was nice to know that I got the response that I did from south coast. Thank you.

  • Love the option for the video call. For a visit like this, being seen in person wasn’t necessary and this was super convenient for me as a working mother. I hope after Covid concerns end, this can still be considered as an option for future meetings when only verbal communication is required. Only downside was the number of calls it took to schedule and set up the actual appointment.

  • It would have been better if it could have been in person.

  • Appreciate being seen using telehealth service. It was great having this face to face time.

  • Dr. Shube Answered all my questions and concerns. She explained things in an easy to understand way.

  • Always treated well when I come to the Dr. Office. This time was a well visit but even when I'm ill I can get in to see a Dr. , not a NP which is important to me. Dr. Shube has always be a Dr. who listens to what I have to say and if a specialist was needed she set me up with one. Very satisfied with her and the office in general.

I also had multiple appointments scheduled for this week and Dr. Schube was able to consolidate half of them which saved me many trips. I am so grateful to Swansea family practice and Southcoast for always being there for me.

  • I love my primary care physician Dr. Shube, however I DO NOT like the office staff or the building. The front lobby is shabby and has a terrible odor. I have never had any friendly receptionists. They seem bothered to help you. I've considered leaving this place but I do like my doctor.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
