  • The appointment itself was very good. And I always is with my doctor the beginning the appointment. So I was talking to someone as recently as the day before the appointment that I still got the same date the same time later in the day. I got a call from someone else telling me or the I place to call rather that they call me and they wanted me to change the time it all worked out. Okay, but it it doesn't seem like the right hand it to some degree knows what the left hand is doing when you get down to the last minute before you're going to have the appointment. This happened to me once before I'll get different comments coming from different people on the phone.

  • Everyone at the office was pleasant and courteous, organized. Everything seemed safe and sanitized, and I was very pleased with my visit today. Thank you.

  • Originally has a 345 appt. Provider asked if I wanted to change it b/c they had a cancellation. So it was changed to 215. I arrived in office at 210 after checking in by phone. I then waited until 250 before getting into exam room. Seems as though I was just being squeezed in and possibly there was no open appointment. Seen 35 minutes past scheduled visit

  • I wouldn't change anything.

  • Dr. Mandelson was great, as usual. He was almost apologetic for the way things are during this pandemic, but as always, very thorough and interested in my wellbeing.

  • Individual rooms is excellent. Nursing assistants need improved education...... they need better communication skills and need to be more cognizant of conversations among themselves and how it can be heard by patients. They do work very hard!!

  • It was a phone interview with Dr. Mandelson and the nurse called ahead of time, and I was very happy with them. And Mandelson give me great affirmation and understands me and understands my condition. So I was happy with our our phone conversation at this time of the coronavirus when unable to go to the office.

  • Since this visit was via video chat, i had no contact with anyone but the physician. That being said, he was thorough, listened closely, and explained upcoming procedures very clearly and was very pleasant and patient. He always asked if i understood what the plan of care was and if it was ok with me. He always made me feel cared for in regards to my condition. All in all i was very happy with this doctor who is new to me.

  • This is the first time that I've ever done any of these things and I would prefer to come in and see the doctor. I didn't have an EKG. He couldn't look at my ankles because of the swelling he knew what I was talking about. But I prefer an office visit like I used to have that's all I have to say. I got to say many years. So I have a family history of heart disease. That's why I go to him. I have nothing else to say. I'm all.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
