About Patrick Curran

Dr. Curran is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. He completed a residency in internal medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and a fellowship in Cardiology at The Lahey Clinic in Burlington.

He has specialized training in nuclear cardiology, echocardiography and transesophageal echocardiography.

He was a cardiologist with Internal Medicine and Cardiology Associates in Fall River. He also served as an attending physician in internal medicine at The Lahey Clinic.

  • Telemedicine it was my first experience and was very pleased how easy it was .I know it is not going to be permanent but it filled a void during this time .

  • Although we are still in a pandemic the procedures utilized by this office were great. Everything was conducted in a timely and very efficient manner. Dr. Curran always listens to my concerns and explains everything in layman’s terms so I understand how we are going to proceed. Very professional office!

  • The transfer from my former cardiologist to Dr. Curran was very smooth. He had all the information at hand. Everything I gave him that was new to me, as well as to him, was much appreciated and he made a note of it. And the hospital, the health center and the staff were very warm.

Really knew her business, answered all my questions promptlyand thoroughly, was MOST pleasant and friendly but still very professional, put me completely at ease, etc.Then, Dr Curran was all my significant other who is one his patients,told me he would be. A pleasant, professional demeanor, a knowledgeable and professional approach and explanation about my conversion from [Name] to [Name] [I was really dubious about it!], and a very reasonable re-assurance about reverting to the [Name] if for any reason the [Name] didn't work out for me. All in all, I am quite sorry to have lost Dr [Name], but I feel VERY good that Dr Curran agreed to take me on.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Helpfulness of Clerks & Receptionists, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
