About Olivia Duhaime MD
Olivia Duhaime, MD graduated with honors, earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience from Brown University. Dr. Duhaime then furthered her medical expertise, earning her Doctor of Medicine degree from Boston University School of Medicine. She completed her medical training at Boston Medical Center and Boston University School of Medicine where she was a general surgery resident. Her clinical interests are hernia repair and minimally invasive robotic surgery, biliary disease, soft tissue masses, anorectal disease and acute care surgery.
Dr. Duhaime’s personal philosophy of care is based on treating patients with dignity and respect. She believes that the decision-making process should be shared between the medical team and the patient as a collaborative effort. It is very important to her that the surgical plan aligns with the values of her patients.
When not at work, Dr. Duhaime enjoys cooking, gardening, knitting, ceramics, and taking walks with her husband and dog.

I was grateful to see Dr. Duhmain because I was supposed to initially see another surgeon, I believe Dr. [Name], but he was still in surgery, so I lucked out. She's a great doctor. She has great patient manner in the examination room, and I was really happy to meet her and get to have her as a surgeon if I need one in the future. You need to keep her at all costs. Dr. Duhaime came into my appointment knowing my surgical history and asked questions based on that. Not many providers take the time to review that information and come in that prepared. I was impressed and felt comfortable being under her care.

Dr. Duhaime is an incredible surgeon and an all around great provider. She was awesome through this whole surgery and made me feel at ease. My surgery went flawlessly and my recovery was smooth and easy. I was really nervous about it but she made me feel comfortable and like she was in total control of the situation and I had no doubt in her ability as a surgeon. She took the time to explain everything and answer all my questions. I'm very glad she was the Dr that did my surgery and I will go to her for any future surgical needs I have. I couldn't have asked for a smoother process and a better outcome and Dr Duhaime deserves all the credit for how well things went.
