About Nevine Henin

Nevine Henin MD, MPH earned her medical degree and graduated with honors at Ain Shams University in Cairo, Egypt. She continued her education by earning a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan. In addition, she is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and AMA. Dr. Henin is fluent in English, Arabic, and French. Her clinical interests include dermatology and epidemiology.

Dr. Henin was inspired to become a doctor by watching her mother take care of her patients in Egypt. Since then, she has fulfilled her desire to help people through her medical work in multiple countries, including Egypt, Zimbabwe, and the United States. Her personal philosophy of care is rooted in her efforts to make sure her patients feel seen, heard, and properly cared for.

Outside of work, Dr. Henin enjoys hiking, traveling, and cooking.

Liked the pre online check in, my chart information, text and email reminders. Could do a better job on vitals. Weights, prompt to remove all heavy items from pockets, remove footwear and heavy clothing. BP& pulse wait several mins or end of appointment before taking as patients have to climb stairs and then walk a distance to office.

Dr Henin is the best. She is one of 2 doctors who actually listens to me & doesn't act dismissive towards me, the other being Dr [Name] For years they told me my blood pressure was high but never did anything about it. She prescribed something for me & for the first time in years I finally felt like myself again. I'll be forever grateful to her for actually hearing me & actually did something.

Disappointed that the provider didn't give any recommendations to help my pain other than "take Tylenol"She also didn't look at 1" of my body besides inside my ears. Nothing on my skin which is alarming since I have many visible moles that a dermatologist needs to look at. There are many other things I don't care to list here but this is not the first time I've been so dissatisfied with the effort the provider has put into me. It seems every time I go to the doctor at Southcoast they ask minimal questions and care a minimal amount. I should also note this was my first experience with this provider.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office. The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
