I was very upset because someone didn't get back to me about an appointment I was trying to make earlier, because I wasn't feeling well, and I explained this to him today when I was there. Otherwise, I'm happy with the treatment I get at the office, but no one called me back when I try to make an appointment, and that was very frustrating especially when I do feel well. I supposed to press something I do remember.

  • During this difficult time everyone was very curtious and patient. All my questions about my care answered in a way I could understand

  • Number on is being on time. Lots of places stress for the patient to be on time but they fail to be on time for the patient. Additionally, he listens well and is very well informed.

  • For the first time in a long time, I felt that my PCP was actually listening to ALL of my concerns. I'm very happy I made the change to Dr Brillantes, he's the type of physician that listens to his patients concerns, explains what may be going on and what he's going to do to figure it out, or if the need be lets you know what type of specialist he may need to refer you to and what would happen from there.

  • First telehealth conference ever. Age 84 so this is new, will take getting used to. This was a first time Provider, who was very helpful. What happens when testing is needed?

  • Hi, there was no reason to make me wait when I first was sent to the office to to get registered. They basically just ignored me for the for several minutes, and also people should wash their hands before they put on gloves and not walk around throughout the whole office the whole time with gloves on because that means they are not washing their hands. Thank you.

  • I was originally scheduled for my annual physical one year ago and was called one week ago and told that I could not have an in person visit that it had to be virtually. I do not like virtual. I do not feel that a virtual visit is comprehensive enough. When I asked when the next in person physical would be I was told May 2021. I kept the virtual reluctantly as I had some issues that I did not feel could wait til May.

  • I'm a COVID positive pt quarantined at home. I felt that I did not get a good response from my provider or the office when I called back after a few days seeking help. So, I ended up going to the ER for help. If my pcp had been more educated with what the ER providers are seeing in the Er with Covid pts, I would not of had to go to the ER. There really should be a way for them to share information with each other.

  • My Doctor was great and answered all my questions. However, the wait to be seen took to long

  • Never received closing phone call to arrange next appointments.Prior to this appointment, a request from the physician's office to change lab appointment for bloodwork that had been scheduled a year in advance resulted in a need to reschedule physical as well, which required multiple phone calls. Scheduling process was inconvenient, especially since the rescheduling was due to issues at the office and was not initiated by me.

  • Telehealth is no substitute for in person visits. The dentist and eye Doctor saw my in person. There is no reason why I had to have a phone visit. I also did not like the notice of the change only a few days in advance. That is poor service.

  • Dr. Brillantes and nurse [Name] both did a great job. Professional and courteous as always.

  • Felt very safe during covid. Possibly a better bedside manner.

  • Everything was perfect except the Video connection. The Dr had to call me back and not use video. Not that the video mattered. Just telling what happened. I am still satisfied with the service

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
