About Michelle Pacheco

Dr. Pacheco earned her medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, and completed her internship in general surgery at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Fla. She completed her residency in urology at the University of South Florida.

Dr. Pacheco is trained in laparoscopic surgery including the da Vinci robotic system. She is interested in all aspects of general urology including; incontinence, overactive bladder, kidney stones, genitourinary cancers, erectile dysfunction, and benign prostatic hypertrophy.

She is a member of the American Urologic Association and the Society of Women in Urology.

Dr. Pacheco is a Swansea native and enjoys spending time with her family and young son, traveling and reading. She is especially fond of participating in community events and cultural activities and enjoys the South Coast restaurant scene.

  • Timely, friendly and kind

  • I waited 50 minutes to be seen for an appointment that I had at 2:20 p.m. Not happy about that and was an awfully long time.

  • Everything was done correctly no issues

  • I felt that my wait time of more than 40 minutes after my appointment time was a bit accessive. If the time could be closer to the appointment time that would be great.

  • After having seen multiple urologists in other facilities, Dr. Pacheco is the only doctor that finally diagnosed my bladder issue.She takes the time to listen and thoroughly explain a course of treatment.

  • The doctor listened very carefully what I had to say and made sure everything was okay, had an ultrasound and send me for an x-ray.

  • This was my first appt. with Michelle Pacheco and I really liked her. I did schedule a return visit in Dec.

  • This was first visit. Was to see Dr but was greeted by another who was NEW. She was very nice, listened, asked, went over everything explaining thoroughly (w/printout) what was going to happen and why. The visual was very helpful. Going fwd I may have more to say! For now, I feel comfortable with new Dr and pleasant staff.

  • Upon entering the building the woman screening people was very rude. She asked me to read the covid list which I know by heart as I am an employee and responding I had no symptoms. She then read them out loud and had to verbally respond line by line. She was very rude

  • Michelle Pacheco was professional, and nice, and seems confident but when you have to wait 45 minutes to see her when they're 45 minutes late, they should at least apologize, you know as a courtesy to say sorry we were 45 minutes late. Alright, thank you.

  • Appointment was for 10am I sat there until 10:15 I could see 4 receptionist talking to each other not one came to tell me we will be with you shortly @ 10:15 I approached window and asked if I was in the wrong place receptionist informed me your appointment is for 10am someone will be with you shortly (it’s 110:15) at that point TV was turned on , 10:20 I was called in got settled into a room DR came in 10:55 attentive to my problem examined me fine ! Staff not customer friendly at all

  • It was not a in-person visit due to the pandemic; it was a phone visit. the process itself went well with the exception of the time; I understand there are emergencies, but I waited for almost an hour for the doctors phone call.

  • My appointment was scheduled for 9:50 AM. Received a call from office to complete registration around 9:15 AM, and was told doctor would call about 9:50 AM. Called office at 10:26 AM because I still hadn't received call for my appointment. I was told the doctor was seeing patients and would be calling as soon as she had a chance, I told her I scheduled the appointment for this time period because I had to go to work. She then said would you like to reschedule, no I want my appointment to be the time it was scheduled for. Had I known that I would have received better service in office I would have gone into office, but I wasn't given that option. The doctor finally called about an hour after my appointment time. How do you think you can improve things?

  • Well, she was very, very eager to listen to me and give me healthy feedback and have a lot of understanding. But mostly she was able to listen extremely well where she would be able to answer me and she will be getting my medical records of my, my status of my illness and get back to me. So all in well I would say she was a 10 in listening and I would say a 10 in giving me information that was easy to understand and knowledgeable.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
