About Michelle Pacheco

Dr. Pacheco earned her medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, and completed her internship in general surgery at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Fla. She completed her residency in urology at the University of South Florida.

Dr. Pacheco is trained in laparoscopic surgery including the da Vinci robotic system. She is interested in all aspects of general urology including; incontinence, overactive bladder, kidney stones, genitourinary cancers, erectile dysfunction, and benign prostatic hypertrophy.

She is a member of the American Urologic Association and the Society of Women in Urology.

Dr. Pacheco is a Swansea native and enjoys spending time with her family and young son, traveling and reading. She is especially fond of participating in community events and cultural activities and enjoys the South Coast restaurant scene.

  • Everyone was very professional

  • Dr. Pacheco is very nice.

  • Replace the ladies in the reception area. They clearly don't like their jobs and take it out on the patients. All three ladies were rude and very unpleasant. Even though the physician was very informed about my health care, dealing with the cranky ladies made my visit very unpleasant.

  • This should've been a Tele-health appt... it was a waste of my time to get someone to watch my son and go into the office. I explained everything in detail through MyChart. Could've just referred me through telehealth.

  • Easy online checkin and copay and I waited in the waiting room less then a minute and only 10 mins to see the doctor. She was very nice and explained everything well.

  • Office never gave MD message. I called twice asking for call back. Never heard anything. Finally made my own appt in mychart. First time having an issue with this office but very disappointed.

  • I got in and out in under 5 minutes. Took me 45 minutes to get there, but the dr couldn't spare me more than 3 minutes for my $40 co-pay. I will never go back. Worst experience ever. The worst healthcare system I have ever experienced.

  • This medical visit was a chit chat, no vitals were take, no medical tests ordered, no examine done. Unfortunately, my new insurance has a large deductible so I imagine this chit chat will cost me plenty. Eventually i will reach the deductible and the bill won't hurt.

  • Compared to providers at other southcoast facilities she is much more knowledgeable and more patient oriented. All southcoast facilities like the urgent care and hospital lack the same kind of staff and staff along the southcoast are not as patient oriented as north and west Massachusetts.

  • At the lab for blood work was not very good. They wanted to do at a late time and I had to fast with no breakfast. See that must be done early. So I called the doctor's office and they fit me in. So the lab and the doctor's office were not on the same page. Alright, they should be addressed. Thank you.

  • I waited 50 minutes to be seen for an appointment that I had at 2:20 p.m. Not happy about that and was an awfully long time.

  • After having seen multiple urologists in other facilities, Dr. Pacheco is the only doctor that finally diagnosed my bladder issue.She takes the time to listen and thoroughly explain a course of treatment.

  • This was my first appt. with Michelle Pacheco and I really liked her. I did schedule a return visit in Dec.

  • This was first visit. Was to see Dr but was greeted by another who was NEW. She was very nice, listened, asked, went over everything explaining thoroughly (w/printout) what was going to happen and why. The visual was very helpful. Going fwd I may have more to say! For now, I feel comfortable with new Dr and pleasant staff.

  • Upon entering the building the woman screening people was very rude. She asked me to read the covid list which I know by heart as I am an employee and responding I had no symptoms. She then read them out loud and had to verbally respond line by line. She was very rude

  • Michelle Pacheco was professional, and nice, and seems confident but when you have to wait 45 minutes to see her when they're 45 minutes late, they should at least apologize, you know as a courtesy to say sorry we were 45 minutes late. Alright, thank you.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
