  • Just wanted to say that Melanie is excellent. She treated me with courtesy and whatever she did to me, she told me what she was going to do, explained it. My experience with her was excellent. I could not ask for a better caregiver. My own doctor isu00A0u00A0[Name], and she could not take me. She was all booked up. So, I went to Melanie and I was just as happy with Melanie but I love [Name]. She is beautiful too. But Melanie is just as good and I'm just as happy with Melanie when I cannot see,u00A0u00A0[Name].u00A0

  • Excellent service due to my PCP leaving Southcoast and I have not yet met with my new PCP continuing care for me is the best.

  • The nurse practitioner I saw was polite and efficient. I did bring up a lingering medical issue that wasn't the reason for my appointment, she sort of brushed it off. That left me feeling a bit unsatisfied but did not make the whole experience negative. The nurse who initially took me to have my vitals done was rude and offered no good bedside manner. Made an exaggerated comment about the length of my acrylic fake nails and had an overall negative attitude towards me. I understand people having bad days, however for the most part I was pleasant, but her negative attitude did not let up so then I got w bad attitude. Also, in the original notes that were made prior to my visit were not a full list of symptoms I explained when making the appointment, I listed them to her and she also had a poor reaction to me listing them and typing them.

  • They understood my problem. Asked many pertinent questions and provided a solution.

  • I didn't appreciate being told my appointment was going to be at 3:15 and not be called until 4:45. Just because i'm home doesn't mean I have all day to be waiting for a phone call. I work and have a home to take care of. I feel that was very unprofessional.

  • Hi. The ... I appreciate TeleHealth. It's an excellent service. The support staff was great. I had an appointment and the ... the care provider was supposed to call me back at that appointed time and then (INAUDIBLE) to my work day, so I took some time off from work. And it was an hour and 15 minutes later than the appointment was made for. It was very inconvenient for me. I am grateful to have had the appointment, but it was awful to have to wait an hour and 15 minutes. So that's my feedback. Thank you so much.

  • I saw the nurse practitioner. She carefully listened to me and was glad that I monitored myself to give her the most informed information that she needed. She ordered the correct diagnostics and treated me with respect during the entirety of the visit

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
