About Marvin Berman MD
Board certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine, Dr. Berman has been practicing in Fall River for more than 20 years and has been on staff at Charlton Memorial Hospital since 1989.
A magna cum laude graduate of the Boston University School of Medicine, he completed his internship and residency at University Hospital in Boston. He received his training in gastroenterology at the Peter Bent Brigham Hospital. He was an assistant professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School. He lectures at Brown University and teaches at Boston Medical Center.
Dr. Berman has a special interest in liver disease and has published widely on this topic as well as other gastrointestinal conditions. He is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.

Dr Berman takes the time to listen and to explain my illness and get to the root of a problem. He is thorough. He is the epitome of what a physician really means. In the last five years I have had to see many different types of doctors for my various illnesses and Dr. Berman stands out like a gem.

They did nothing wrong. They did everything 100%. I'm always happy when I go there. They listen. They check everything, all my testing, x-rays, everything. They know everything. They get to the point. They set up things, give me neds if I need it, and they take care of me always. And they're a great bunch of people. And I thank you.
I had a very nice appointment with Dr. Berman. He focused on the problem that I am dealing with and was very patient and understanding. He ordered appointments for me.The receptionist that I had took me to places at Truesdale Clinic that I had to go to for testing. She was so nice.

Dr. Berman is completely present when you are with him, no rushing simply and carefully looking out for his patients best interest. Southcoast need more Dr.s like him.
