  • Excellant doctor and staff

  • The doctor listened to my concerns and responded with professionalism.

  • One word just wonderful

  • Questions are answered when asked

  • I love Dr Berman! He has been my provider for gastroenterology for years now, about 5 to 6 years now. He has always very knowledgeable, friendly inconsiders all of my issues when I see him. I always enjoy seeing him in person.

  • Dr Berman is courteous and professional. He and the staff promptly scheduled my procedure.

  • Dr. Berman has been caring for me for 30 years. I can rely on him to be thorough and interested in any health concern I walk into the office with. He has a sincere bedside manner - genuine and considerate.

  • Office staff and medical assistant very cordial, and attentive . Very minimal waiting . Dr Berman was very kind, thorough and thoughtful. Very happy with medical care from this practice!

  • Very pleasant interaction Informative Difficult as new patient for hospital follow up first time meeting him Had requested different doctor for f/u appointment and was scheduled with him

  • I enjoyed my visit with the doctor. He's (INAUDIBLE). This is my first time so I can (INAUDIBLE) everything. I only found a few minutes and then... went to go get my labs done. So, maybe it would be better at a later date. Thank you.

  • Thus was my first visit. I was very impressed with Dr. Berman. He had great concern for my health issues. My complaint that I went in for. He went over family history. He listened to everything I had to say. I am getting my testing done soon.

  • Always kind...

  • Took three months for them to even call me based on my primary's referral, then took another two months to get an appointment. My after summary report has items on the questionnaire that weren't even addressed or asked of me. Doctor's bedside manner made me uncomfortable.

  • Only thing I would say is that when I was called for this fibroscan appointment, I was not told not to eat or drink anything 3 hours before. When I arrived they did adjust my time so that I could still have the test! I was happy about that!

  • On time, courteous, professional , attentive and respectful!

  • Waiting for an appt took a few months even with a referral going in from primary

  • He was apologetic a number of times for the delay because of the schedule and patients. He listened to me gave a good examination asked a lot of questions and wanted to help me.

  • I've been seeing Dr. Berman for about 15 or 16 years now and he has never once disappointed me. He is always kind, he is always personable. He is always friendly. He is always... eager to answer any questions or concerns that I have, explains things in a way that I understand. He's the only doctor that I am 100% comfortable with, not only, you know, being in his in, you know, in his office and going through a an exam or, or a meeting with him, but also... in anything that he says. Any anything that he has to say, I am 100% on board with. I trust him with my life.

  • Dr. was very clear and caring.

  • Everything about my visit was perfect and comprehensive

  • The office was very efficient.

  • My only concern about this visit was the length of time it took to get an in-office appointment with a specialist. I was offered a televisit within a few weeks, but I was referred to a specialist by my primary care physician for a specific problem and the earliest in-person appt with any of the doctors in the practice was THREE MONTHS out. I don't mind a tele-health visit with my primary care physician because he has been my doctor for 50 years, but with a new doctor, it's not acceptable.

  • Safe welcoming clean office. Staff patient, friendly ,knowledgeable and did not rush me

  • very easy check-in with no wait time

  • Everything was good enough for me

  • I found Dr. Berman to be exceptionally attentive to my concerns. He answered all of my questions with explanations that were easy to understand. I left the appointment feeling that I should have visited sooner.

  • Dr.Berman was great!

  • Dr Bergman was very thorough and explained everything clearly. He was also patient and kind.Everyone in the office was friendly and very professional.

  • Dr. Berman was very responsive to all of my questions. He went out of his way to stay in touch with me, making phone calls, sometimes on Sundays, to discuss how I was doing, and I really appreciate the attention that he gave to me and my care.

  • The staff is friendly and efficient as well as knowledgeable.

  • Dr. Berman is an amazing doctor. I've never had a problem. Takes care of my whole family. My mom, my dad, and my sisters my son, my husband myself. He's amazing doctor. I've never had a complaint against them at all.

  • Dr. Berman was knowledgeable, professional and caring. He answered all my questions and greatly relieved, my anxiety about my health care situation.

  • the doctor, and the staff were friendly, and polite. I was provided with information I needed and was asked if I had my chart. I do and the employee stated all the information would be there. But I was not able to retrieve the information from my chart and have to follow up regarding the test.

  • Dr. Berman was so kind to me. I was really upset and he calmed me down and really made me feel so much better.

  • I love Dr Berman, he cares about me it's so very obvious

  • I waited over 25 minutes, for a two minute visit, they made a mistake and never checked me in, I found out when I went to ask why 5 people went in front of me, and I was still waiting.

  • Amazing experience- dr berman listened so well, very easy to talk to- personable. Left with confidence.

  • My visit was safe, everyone was courteous as always and my Southcoast providers are always the best. No improvement needed.

  • I have a medical history of multiple cancers and within the past week and a half developed worrisome symptoms. When calling the office to be seen by Dr Berman, the receptionist gave me an appointment in 2 days. After seeing Dr Berman yesterday I am today having a procedure based on symptoms and personal medical history. This is a big relief to me and my husband.

Southcoast Health physician profiles now feature star ratings.  Below, you’ll find frequently asked questions about our process for calculating the ratings.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
