  • They are very professional and I am very happy with all the service and medical attention. Dr. Bermant is an excellent doctor and very attentive.

  • Dr Berman has been a caring and concerned physician since my very first visit years ago. He remembers things we discussed at other times and checks on them when we next talk.

  • this was a telephone appointment only, I did not go into the office. it was very nice to do the visit over the phone and should be done more often instead of going into the office.

  • This past visit I had on the telephone with Dr. Berman. He was very punctual with the time he called. I feel like Dr. Berman handled my visit very well.I also had an issue that was bothering me, I thought I had an UTI. I went for labs THAT morning, he called me later in the afternoon, to tell me I did have an UTI but we had to grow a culture for 24 hours, by the time he called to tell me I did indeed have a UTI, the antibiotic was already for me at my pharmacy.

  • Yes, I feel better right now. You know. I seem to be okay. That's it.

  • Although I was a new patient, I felt confident, under difficult circumstances, (Coronavirus Pandemic) that my “phone visit” was very most informative.

  • this was a phone conversation set up because a visit to the office did not work with the current Coronavirus situation. he was almost a half an hour late because he had a conference call. the person arranging this call had asked me to be by the phone 20 minutes prior to the call. I was waiting 40 minutes in all.

  • I really like my GI doctor. He’s friendly and personable.

  • Dr. Berman has been my PCP for over 20 years. When I am sick he always takes care of me whether in the office or at home. Dr. Berman has always taken a personal interest in my well being. Due to the pandemic this routine visit was conducted by phone. I have been sick the past 3 weeks however, and Dr. Berman has kept a close eye on me . You couldn't ask for a more dedicated and caring doctor.

  • No improvement

  • Even though this was a Tele-Visit, Dr. Berman was thorough and answered all of my questions. I felt it was a productive encounter.

  • Yes my experience with Dr. Marvin Berman was excellent. This is my first meeting with him. He was courteous, he was very knowledgeable, he was a pleasure... He looked like he enjoyed giving me the exam and helping me out with all my questions. I just can't say enough about the whole staff in that in that hospital, it's just beautiful. My sister goes there and she talked me into going there and the best thing she ever told me, and she's 85 years old. Thank you so very much.

  • Very kind in every way fanstacstic I feel so very relaxed and comfortable the whole crew awesome and very pleasant love them from dr Berman to staff great

  • staff were wonderful. Everybody is so kind and courteous and they treat you very well. And they treat you very special and I wanted you to know I'm very pleased with it and I would recommend it to everybody.

  • Dr. Berman is wonderful, thorough and informative. When I called to make my appointment, [Name] was a listener and comforting about my situation. Dr. Berman made me feel better and has scheduled a test....he leaves no stones unturned.

  • Wonderful doctor. Referring to Dr. Berman 'cause it really works well as a team for me. It really saved my life.

  • I was very satisfied with my visit as I always am. I've been a patient there for 30 years, and I've got nothing but the best treatment.

  • Good the way it is

  • DR VERY CONCERNED & LISTENED WELL. WAS VERY PLEASED WITH THE VISIT. WAITING FOR RESULTS OF XRAY.

  • Very little wait time everyone was polite and kind

  • Dr. Berman has been my primary doctor for over 30 years. He stepped in when another doctor (whom we will not mention, it’s not necessary) completely misdiagnosed my symptoms and almost killed me .I will never forget the day he sat me in his office and told me, “as of this moment, I am your doctor “ ! Dr. Berman saved my life!To this day we enjoy a better than normal relationship,He’s getting older and so am I.I’m a realist and now that someday soon he has to retire,However; before he retires, patients like my self, should point out what a very special doctor he is.I would like him to be my doctor forever, but that would be selfish. He deserves his retirement and when it comes, he will be sorely missed !

  • Dr Berman is a patient friendly dedicated Doctor.

  • Dr. Marvin Berman is an exceptional physician. He, I have been with him for over 30 years, he knows me very well, knows my medical history, and always provides me very clear understanding, feedback. I would recommend him to anybody. Thank you.

  • My care from the doctors in the office it's very good. No complaints at all.

  • Very professional and knowledgeable staff. Thank you.

  • I arrived early for my 3:30 appointment. As time approached 4:30 and the waiting room emptied I notified the receptionist that I would have to leave to attend to other responsibilities. I was then seen with the nurse stating she was unaware I was in the waiting room. I like Dr. Berman, my check-up went well and I do not need to return for another year!

  • Spend less time on the computer.

  • Dr. Berman saved my life. He found my cancer and went to a lot of trouble to do so. An amazing and kind person. Extremely intelligent too.

  • Dr Berman and his staff are the best . I can only thank you for your compassion , knowledge, and professionalism . Thank you again .

  • First. Dr. Berman is an exceptional health care provider. It is challenging in our current atmosphere to maintain a personal component as well as the professional demands. Your medical staff and facility appears to be above the curve.

  • Appointment was on time considering the power outage that caused the provider and hisstaff to relocate to another office in Truesdale Clinic. Very smooth transition. Thank you.Dr. Berman was informative regarding my concerns. He reviewed all of my medicalhistory relating to same.

  • It was a very good experience, Dr. Berman was very good and very passionate, as usual .

  • They were very helpful

  • Yes, I was very impressed with this doctor. He's very knowledgeable and very nice and took his time to talk to me to explain to me. I would definitely recommend this doctor has as a very ,very good doctor. And also I had practically no wait at all. I was there maybe 2 or 3 minutes before they called me in and in the waiting room inside the doctor's office in his room. I only waited maybe a minute before he came in, so I was very, very impressed. Thank you. Bye.

  • Good people, very professional

  • The whole experience was a pleasure

Southcoast Health physician profiles now feature star ratings.  Below, you’ll find frequently asked questions about our process for calculating the ratings.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Helpfulness of Clerks & Receptionists, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
