  • No problem going there. Very friendly and comfortable

  • I was early for my appointment, the staff treated me as if I was the only patient in the building. My doctor greeted me as if I have been a patient for years, he knew my history talked to me so I could understand every word and made sure we both are on the same path for treatment

  • The lab and office visit was professional and courteous.

  • It's not my favorite place to go but overall excellent care and professional.

  • Staff was wonderful! Had issues with the plastic surgeon...seemed like she wasn't listening to me and already had decided what should be done. Others took time to discuss options which was a more appreciated approach. Thanks for everything!

I've never seen nurses work that well together. So I do recommend Charlton to anyone who needs to go from oncology. Thank you.

  • Everything was perfect

  • While getting information from a nurse navigator, there was a employee outside in the hall talking at the too of her lungs. I could not hear the nurse. Also I wear hearing aides and it was painful. It lasted for a few minutes. She needs to be told to lower her voice. She is not alone in the building.

  • As usual you profide excellent care and service.the staff at your facility make you feel very comfortable.

  • Everyone is polite, did the directed you to wherever you needed to go. They took real good care. They continue to ask questions, asked and everything's okay., They were very, very nice, and they wanted to make sure that we understood everything clearly, couldn't ask for any better help. Thank you.

  • Great service

  • I had no expectations All the nurses were so awesome. What a TEAM they were. My experience with the Cancer Center could not have been better.u00A0 Thank you all again.

  • Dr Shparber and staff are excellent. They are consistently attentive, knowledgeable, kind and informative. Their concern for their patients is always evident

  • OK treatment

  • The woman at the checkout desk that I was dealing with was absolutely amazing. The original appointment that I was going to have fell out of time where it was going to be really difficult for me to attend with a school and work schedule. So she re-booked everything to be earlier, which was amazing. However, I sat in a waiting room for 40 minutes and was only seen by the doctor for a total of 5 minute. A appointment that could have 100% been done over the phone that has now cost me $22 and a copay and about 4 or 5 hours out of my work where I'm not being paid. So a teleconference would've been much preferred for this and I'm quite frankly very annoyed at the fact that I sat around for 40 minutes and only saw the doctor for 5 minutes. Thank you.

  • I would like to tell you that both Dr Mark Shparber and his assistant [Name] are a pleasure to deal with. They are very knowledgeable and very pleasant and are both assets to the Southcoast team. In this "COVID " environment they make you feel very comfortable to be in your facility...

  • extremely clean offices, friendly staff, doctor listens to my concerns, appointments scheduled at my convenience

  • Had a very thorough examination

  • I asked a question regarding pain in my legs. The response was that of no concern.

  • Everyone is excellent

  • Parking at the cancer center is almost impossible. It's horrible and if you want to get into the cancer parking lot and you have to press the button and it depends on who's there when it's going to be answered and I ended up being late for my appointment, very upset.

  • Having somebody with you is very, very, important when you're dealing with oncology. Thank you.

  • Good service, punctual and attentive did very well! I would like a more detailed explanation to be offered to anyone interested in the disease and treatment

  • my appointment was for 1:30 was not seen until 2:20. waiting too long to be seen.

  • Always exceptional staff and service. I will never go anywhere else. Thank you :)

  • I would say the place is very good that you know, what was how is that was greeted very well and I recover. Thank you.

  • In my opinion there is no improvement necessary. I've been going to this facility for many years and it's always the same. Courteous, friendly, and on time

  • Checkup appointment was by phone. 1/2 hour late to call me. Very rushed and did not answer all questions that I had. I felt like it was rushed through. 9 minutes total and I still have questions and concerns. This doctor is very different when I see him in person. This phone checkup did not work well for me.

  • Care was fine, no issues but parking

  • 5 Stars as Always!!

  • Doctor was in and out of appointment within minutes. Very to the point

  • The appointment was a telemed with Dr. Shparber, but all the staff members who would call to confirm the appointment, and to get my husband's information before the telemed appointment with Dr. Shparber was wonderful. We had a great experience when we were up there in February. Everybody's just very, very kind, compassionate in that office.

  • The technician was very helpful and extended him he was doing it was a notice on and he took great care to see that I was okay that I could safely get off afterwards and it's very good.

  • Dr Schparber is a wonderful doctor

  • My visit at the Charlton Cancer Center as always been Primo, just the best care that I think anyone could receive and they've always treated me with dignity and respect and I appreciate that. Thank you.

  • Great doctor and staff

  • Everyone is very knowledgeable, professional and compassionate.

  • Dr. Shparber and his staff were excellent. They answered all my questions and they were on time calling and the service was absolutely excellent. I'm glad he's my doctor and I would recommend him to others.

  • Staff is very professional and courteous

  • Everything was excellent and in time

  • The doctor was great! Calling your facility is a nightmare. I received a call hours before my appointment for screening questions but I was swimming and didn't get the call. She left a message. I called back a couple hours later. I was on hold for too long. When I finally reached someone she told me she was in the Fairhaven office and she would have someone in the Fall River office call me right away. It was not right away. It was about an hour later. Therefore, I was waiting by the phone for an hour. This was all for simple screening questions that seemed silly. Maybe this could have been done online' The doctor called 5-10 minutes late. Not a huge deal but after waiting in hold and waiting for a call from your department, it seemed frustrating.

  • Very professional and compassionate. Excellent care.

  • Everything went as well or better than expected

  • It was an excellent visit, the nurse who took my vitals was efficient and friendly. The doctor was kind and caring.

Southcoast Health physician profiles now feature star ratings.  Below, you’ll find frequently asked questions about our process for calculating the ratings.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
