About Mark Shparber MD
A medical oncologist in the region for more than 20 years, Dr. Shparber has a unique perspective of the needs of cancer patients in our region. He also serves as the medical director for the hospice program at Southcoast VNA.
Dr. Shparber earned his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine and completed his residency at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, Cornell Medical Center. He completed his fellowship in hematology/oncology at New York Hospital, Cornell Medical Center.
He is board certified in medical oncology, hematology and internal medicine.

Dr. Shparber has always been my rock thru this breast cancer journey. He also has cared for my husband. We both have been blessed to have been in his care.
