I love Marie Aguiar. She makes me feel comfortable, gives me peace of mind and after not seeing her for over a year she made me feel like she's been treating me my entire life. She spoke to me like a person, did not dismiss or diminish my concerns. Other doctors at other practices have made me feel like I'm crazy but she really listened to me and as I said provided peace of mind, I left my appointment today feeling better than when I walked in. She did not rush through my appointment and I would recommend anyone I know to go see her if needed.

While waiting for an appointment for an MRI I was given an appointment in your office to follow up on results. When the MRI appointment came sooner than expected your office adjusted my appointment to avoid a delay in my receiving results. That was much appreciated.

Marie Aguiar did a fine job of explaining my condition post MRI. Use of a model to assist in interpreting the scan photos put things in easier to understand terms. Marie took the time to fully answer my questions and most importantly I walked out with a far better understanding of my condition.

The only problem with this office is the wait to get in. Dr Philips is a fantastic surgeon. I saw Marie today and she is a great educator. She took the time to show me the X-rays and explained what they mean. I have seen her a few times at this point and she never disappoints. Very kind.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.
Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.
How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office. The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
