About Linda Paiva

Linda Paiva earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, Dartmouth, MA. Linda then expanded knowledge, skill and abilities by returning to the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth to pursue a Master of Science degree in Nursing, with a focus on Adult Primary Care. In addition to health promotion, preventive care, palliative and hospice care, Linda’s clinical interests include caring for patients with complex medical conditions such as heart failure, kidney disease, asthma and COPD.

Linda’s philosophy of nursing focuses on providing holistic and comprehensive care while respecting patient’s rights and promoting health. She has always had an interest in caring for patients with complex medical conditions. Working in Primary Care has allowed Linda to support, educate and play a vital role in preventing illnesses with her patients.

In her free time, Linda enjoys spending time with family, gardening and going on hikes.

  • Friendly staff and helpful with questions. Everything runs very smoothly when going into the office and I can say they work well as a team in that office.

  • The only thing I would change is a little bit quicker, but I understand that it's possible with COVID that that is going to slow things down historically with this provider, (INAUDIBLE) South Coast Health even before COVID, It was exceptionally long wait times, which is unacceptable. I was, rest of the wait time this time, so it actually was faster than usual for me, but I would really appreciate it if- when I had an appointment at a certain time, that I was in there within 10 minutes, that would be extremely, extremely grateful.

  • I was happy to be able to get a telehealth appointment but there was a lot of miscommunication and back and forth with the office staff that delayed my appointment and care. It took two days to get an appointment and the appointment ended up being over an hour late. The provider was very apologetic and I am sure it was out of her hands but it was very difficult on my end as it was the end of the day and the office was already closed. I was afraid that I was forgotten.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
