About Keith Baldwin

Dr. Baldwin earned his bachelor’s degree from Allegheny College before completing his medical degree at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Pennsylvania. He also holds a degree in International Medicine and Public Health from the Institute for International Medicine in Kansas City, Mo.

Dr. Baldwin was Chief Resident at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield through the University of Massachusetts before completing a fellowship in Surgical Oncology from Roger Williams Cancer Center through Boston University School of Medicine. He also performed advanced microsurgery training at Columbia University.

He is board certified by the American Board of Surgery in General Surgery and the Society of Surgical Oncology, with a certificate in Surgical Oncology.

Dr. Baldwin’s specialties include endocrine surgery, general surgery, and surgical oncology.

In addition to spending time with his two young children, Dr. Baldwin enjoys playing guitar and singing for a number of local churches.

  • Safe, clean , friendly, and organized environment and the Doctor spent all the time i needed to come up with a surgery plan that works for me.

  • Very pleasant and gave good overview of my situation

  • The only thing that upset me is that I had worn a mask to help protect against covid 19 and I had to pull it down twice to get my temperature taken. I feel like it would show much more consideration for the patients who wear masks for the welfare of the office staff and providers if they didn’t have to constantly remove them for oral temperature checks when you could check the temperature just once or with a no touch thermometer. I have family at home that are high risk and I don’t want to have to touch a mask that might become contaminated more than necessary. I am absolutely in favor of keeping essential personal safe, but I would also like to keep healthy too.

  • Everything was explained in detail but we waited over an hour to be seen.

  • This was my first visit with Dr Baldwin. He made the FNA procedure very comfortable for me. He was understandng when I was uneasy in the middle of my fna by stopping and letting calm down. What a comfort this made me feel. I was able to let him continue with the fna. I feel that I made the right choice in chosen Dr Baldin to be my surgeon.

  • Staff made me feel very comfortable and they listened to my concerns the nurse that should me to my exam room was very professional

  • A wheelchair was provided which was great and each person that I saw was very courteous and helpful. And it was done to my satisfaction, and I was just overall pleased with the whole thing. Thank you.

  • Sat out front in waiting room for 35 minutes. Went to window was in back within 5 minutes. Courtesy by staff seems they were not considered important

  • My experience was very good, and I am thankful to have come through the surgery and feel so well at the 2 week mark. Appreciate Dr. Baldwin's comments and especially his successful operation to remove my [Name] bladder.I did mention to him that I would have loved a "what to expect list" after surgery,upon my release from the hospital, as in the first week or week and 1/2 it would have been great to know what to expect, re pain, appetite return, etc. Just a thought. As I was released the day after surgery, a "what to expect in the first week after surgery", would have been welcome.Overall, I was very pleased and everyone was very pleasant at my office visit yesterday.Thank you.   • I was nervous upon my visit and the medical tech comforted me as he explained what the provider was going to do. Then when the provider came in the room, everything the medical tech told me the provider did. I was very confident everything was going to be just fine! Which it was!! Thank you !!

  • Hello. Front desk was great. The people that came in to do the history were very good. The doctor was very good. This is my first visit. I had to wait 45 minutes - almost 45 minutes to see him. That is my only complaint. You could work better in that area. Thank you.

  • There was a lot of confusion about when my appt was. Seems like there is no communication between staff. Was called like 3 times confirming my appt time( which s if the times were incorrect times) and then when I showed up for my appt was told my appt wasn’t for that day. I was finally seen that same day but had to wait o we an hour. Dr. Baldwin was great though. Very nice, answered all my questions and I did not feel rushed.

  • To begin with I had my daughter and my granddaughter with me and the doctor was very good. They took down all the information on their phones. So I had everything right there. I have nothing to say about the doctor. He was a very good doctor and I'm going in to have it to be operated on the 18th, and that's it. As far as I was concerned it all went well. If I had gone by myself, I don't think it would been so good. Thank you.

  • As far as I'm concerned they wall wonderful the girls and the doctor was I have no problem with anything as far as as far as today was concerned. And I would go back to the same doctor and those girls were just great. Thank you.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Helpfulness of Clerks & Receptionists, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
