About Kathleen Pringle

Kathleen Pringle earned her Master’s of Science in Nursing at the State University of New York at Stony Brook and obtained a certificate in Nurse-Midwifery from Baystate Medical Center in Springfield.

Pringle joins Southcoast Health with three decades of midwifery experience in southeastern New England and has also served as an assistant clinical professor in the Nurse Midwife Graduate Education Program at the University of Rhode Island. She is a member of the American College of Nurse-Midwives.

As a Nurse Midwife, Kathleen supports and cares for women and their families throughout every stage of pregnancy. She has a vested interest in teaching patients how to live safe and healthy lives, allowing them to deliver healthy babies with as little intervention as possible.

In her spare time, Kathleen enjoys reading, cooking and spending time with her family.

    Kathleen Pringle was amazing. I actually ended up changing the rest of my appointments for my pregnancy to her.. to visits with her. I would definitely recommend her to family or friends. She's very informative and impatient and explained everything extremely well and just really knew just really knew her stuff like just knew anything i had a question about she knew.     Dr Pringle was the best choice I could have chosen. She was very informative, respectful and friendly, her and nurse that treated me. I was very nervous about my IUD procedure and they were very supportive. They never dismissed my pain and even gave me chance to rest a breath deep. Talked to me and made sure I was comfortable. She even have me a chance to just lay down after the procedure. I couldn't be more happier with my experience with her. She definitely loves her job.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
