About Kathleen Pringle

Kathleen Pringle earned her Master’s of Science in Nursing at the State University of New York at Stony Brook and obtained a certificate in Nurse-Midwifery from Baystate Medical Center in Springfield.

Pringle joins Southcoast Health with three decades of midwifery experience in southeastern New England and has also served as an assistant clinical professor in the Nurse Midwife Graduate Education Program at the University of Rhode Island. She is a member of the American College of Nurse-Midwives.

As a Nurse Midwife, Kathleen supports and cares for women and their families throughout every stage of pregnancy. She has a vested interest in teaching patients how to live safe and healthy lives, allowing them to deliver healthy babies with as little intervention as possible.

In her spare time, Kathleen enjoys reading, cooking and spending time with her family.

    This was my first time going to this office. Everyone was friendly, professional and helpful. I was seen in a timely manner. The two women that I spoke to in the exam room listened to everything I had to say, answered all my questions and gave me options of treatments and reassured me I could call the office anytime with any questions or concerns.

    Attended quickly upon arrival and departure. Staff remembered me from past appointments when I was pregnant, they asked about my newborn, which made me feel comfortable. It also made me feel seen as a patient and not just a number, very important in this type of setting. Provider was informative and helpful, great bedside manner. Will return and recommend office.

    From the moment I got to the office, I was treated kindly and with respect and everybody was courteous. The person who took my blood pressure and saw me to the room couldn't have been any nicer, kind and understanding as I was there for an issue. And then when I met with the doctor, she exceeded my expectations on how thorough she was, how kind, considerate and how educational she was. And I absolutely thought it was a fantastic visit, especially given that I was there because I had some concerns for myself. So I appreciated that so very much. They were kind and patient and explained things. It was wonderful. So I will definitely be recommending the office.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
