  • Front desk staff and nursing staff should be more educated in the recent changes in PFML before answering questions and causing unnecessary stress, especially in the setting of new mothers or mothers who don't have any medical knowledege and don't know any better.

  • Kathleen Pringle was extremely empathetic, caring and looks at each patient holistically. I am very glad when I had to recently change providers due to unforeseen circumstances out of my control that I research and chose Kathleen! I felt she was very genuine and makes the patient feel comfortable in their OBGYN care.

  • I think we got along really well, i had a great time and felt seen and heard

  • I came for my glucose screening and while waiting the hour for my glucose screening I was supposed to be seen for an appt. There must've been some confusion at check in because I was never checked in for my appointment, so instead of having my appointment at the time it was scheduled they had to check me in late and see me after the full hour. Everyone was very apologetic and it was an honest mistake, the provider saw me very quickly after I was checked in. She is very kind, personable, and understanding. She is very proactive in making sure to help with anything that arises. Everyone I encountered was very pleasant.

  • Kathy Pringle was on time. She was extremely professional and caring and...just left me feeling really great after the appointment. I thought she was awesome. So, thank you.

Southcoast Health physician profiles now feature star ratings.  Below, you’ll find frequently asked questions about our process for calculating the ratings.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
