Dr. DeLeo is in practice in the specialty of internal medicine at the Linden Tree Health Center in Portsmouth, R.I.

A graduate of the Brown University Medical School she completed a residency in primary care internal medicine at Rhode Island Hospital and a fellowship in women’s health from the same institution.

  • "A" for taking my appointment albeit via a televisit.While I know it's been a bad year for our healthcare professionals, there's no excuse to not be encouraging at the end of the 30 minutes by saying:"I'm glad you've been well. We'll contact you about your tests and one of the nurses will call you with the results. Please stay safe."

  • I was so pleased and comforted by the immediate response I received today after testing positive for COVID. Today, I received calls from nurses and my primary care physician in a timely manner! Never waited. I have hypertension and persistent cough ...shortness of breath. Dr. DeLeo called me ...listened because she knows my history and ordered an inhaler. Schedule me for an X-ray to rule out pneumonia. I am feeling grateful and happy I chose Dr. DeLeo. My husband wants to switch!!

  • The phone system is truly frustrating. When calling to make or confirm an appointment you are placed in to a queue. There's no way to leave a message or find out how long you'll be on hold. I spent over forty minutes in three separate calls to try and schedule an appointment this week. There has GOT to be a better system.

Hoping that long wait time can be remedied. MyMother in law was considering switching the Southcoast, by after waiting for 30 MINUTES on hold, she gave up and found a new PCP at [Name] [Name]. In all, everything has been great except for the wait time.

Overall, given the circumstances we are all living through now, I think it worked out fine.

One thing you could get is the ability to use zoom for these visits. i do not have an internet capable ohone, so i had to ask a friend who does, to come over so i could have my visit on her phone. But i do have a laptop and internet for that, so if you would consider getting zoom? My father's docs and his nursing home all use zoom in their offices and at their homes and it works very well. In general, it seems doctors are very rushed, which I understand, but the result is that the patient often does not have time to get questions fully clarified or answered.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
