About Joshua Stone MD
Dr. Joshua Stone earned his medical degree from Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine in Hershey, PA. Prior to earning his medical degree, he graduated with his bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY. Dr. Stone completed his adult neurology residency followed by a fellowship in multiple sclerosis at Brown University/Rhode Island Hospital.
Dr. Stone is passionate about diagnosing and treating multiple sclerosis, neuromyelitis optica, MOG antibody related disease, and sarcoidosis among other neuroimmunology disorders. He also has interests in general neurology, particularly memory disorders, headaches and stroke.
Dr. Stone’s philosophy of care is to provide accurate diagnoses by listening to and getting to know each of his patients as if they were family. In doing so, he strives to work together with his patients to develop an effective, timely, and personalized treatment plan to help get their lives back on track as quickly as possible.
Originally from the area, Dr. Stone enjoys spending his free time with friends and family, exploring the Narragansett Bay, skiing, traveling and cooking.

I see quite a few physicians, but Dr.Stone stands out as truly exceptional. He is not only an outstanding doctor but also a genuinely kind and compassionate person. It's rare to say you actually look forward to speaking with your doctor, but that's exactly how I feel. As always, I had a great experience with him this morning in the Portsmouth location. Everyone needs a Dr. Stone in their life! I also want to recognize [Name] [Name] the amazing medical assistant. She is one of the most bubbly and uplifting people I've ever met. Dr Stone always listens and is always very informative
First visit to this facility and with Dr Stone. All seem to go well the doctor seemed nice knowledgeable and explain things well and the staff was courteous and helpful. So in all, I have a very good first impression.

Less rushed feeling, more listening. Medical assistant should not have acrylic nails so long, overly embellished and unclean.

Very professional to the point and down to earth
Front desk check in was very brief, professional, confidential, courteous. Medical aide/nurse who brought me in to take vitals and appointment prep was a great listener who was methodical and took her time. Dr. Stone already seemed to have read up on my chart, knew what heads come into the room to deal with. I appreciated everyone's efforts today!

Dr. Stone is a probably brilliant man with a natural gentleness and affability. He likes his patients, listens carefully to what they say, and responds to their concerns. He would be difficult to dislike!And I feel totally protected by his personal and his knowledge.
The walkway leading into the building should have at least one handrail from curb cut to door in case a patient needs to grab it to rest, or if the inclined walkway is slippery when walking up or when using a rollator. Thanks!

It was obvious that the young man who brought me to the room was being trained by the young lady in the room but neither introduced themselves or explained that.

Met Dr Stone for the first time to see if I liked them for a new doctor. He seemed very knowledgeable and a very nice person so I think we'll work out great together.
They rescheduled an appointment less than a week later
I got there early. I went in, spent time with my doctor. I could ask questions. I could even, I felt I was asked to help. So I appreciated it. And on top of it, I got off the doctor early.

Dr. Stone is a good listener and seemed very knowledgeable. It did, however, take a long time to get in to see him. Called in October and got appt for January. It was worth the wait. Requested to be on a cancellation list; but was not called. ? if there were any cancellations.

It was my first time meeting Dr Stone after my Dr retired. I thought he was well informed and listened to what I had to say. I was happy to finally hear that we would work towards getting rid of my migraines completely and that there actually is hope.
