  • Jennifer was very personable and compassionate when I explained what I've been going through in caring for my sick mother

  • My message in my chart was responded to quickly offering me a telehealth visit the same day. I was concerned about bringing my illness to the office so the telehealth visit was a great alternative.

  • Thank you for getting me in quickly. Hope telephone staffing increases as the hold time was very lengthy w/o options for a call back voice message.

  • Jennifer was extremely prepared and knowledgeable about all my medical issues. It was very impressive. She talked about options for how to proceed and immediately followed up. Also her summary notes from the visit were the most complete and comprehensive I have ever seen. Very impressive.

  • My experience is very good Jennifer Silva is always very nice and caring and effective and so is her staff and I was seen in a very timely manner. I was seeing about 2 minutes after I checked in, and I was on time for my appointment and as always take me right in every time I go there, the only issue I've ever had is it very long to make an appointment. I have to call and then wait on hold for over 20 minutes and it wasn't through Jennifer Silver's office. It was through South Coast, which is a little ridiculous that I have to call them and then call talk to my doctor or someone in their office. It's a little too much. I liked it better when I could just call Dr. [Name]'s office directly, and I can no longer do that. So that's not very nice and I don't appreciate that. It's a waste of my time, but I'm free thing that happens at the office is perfect and the staff is excellent.

  • For my previous visit they were backed up and I could see my appointment was going to run late. I asked if they could find out and rescheduled with no judgment. That made me feel important and not just another number.

  • When I first made the appointment the assistant was unaware that the provider she scheduled me with does not see other MDs patients. Another assistant called me back to schedule an appointment unaware of the the previous appointment made. The second assistant made an appt for me with a nurse practitioner which was perfectly fine but did not tell me it was a telehealth appt. I drove up to the facility only to get a call telling me it was a telephone appt. and that I could not come into the facility. So I sat in the car and took the call. The NP had read my chart, was very knowledgeable, helpful and prescribed medication and how I should follow up. Even though the staff was friendly and helpful I would have appreciated knowing that it was going to be a telephone call.

  • It took more than 24 hours to make an appointment. I did not get a call back on the first day. This was a painful situation and I was disappointed that no one called me back. I had to call again on day 2.

  • I don't like I've called twice in last week and I've had to wait over 10 minutes on hold trying to get some reason answer the phone. If that happens again, I'm going to have to get a new provider cuz I don't have 10 minutes to waste waiting for somebody from a doctor's office answer the phone. None of my other doctors offices take 10 minutes to have somebody pick the phone up. I'm not going to I'm not going to stay around even though I'd like to dr. I don't have 10 minutes to waste waiting for the staff to pickup. They should hire more people. Thank you.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
