About Jennifer Anderson

Jenny Anderson earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and a Master of Science degree, specializing in Midwifery, from the Columbia University School of Nursing in New York, N.Y. She has been a practicing Certified Nurse Midwife since 2007. Jenny has experience caring for women with uncomplicated and high risk pregnancies, as well as providing routine gynecologic and family planning services.

Jenny is a member the American College of Nurse Midwives. Her clinical interests include the role of nutrition in health and disease, substance use disorders, and improving postpartum care and support for women and families.
When not working, Jenny aims for a consistent yoga routine, but mostly she’s busy with her young family.

  • I waited over half an hour for my appointment at 8 am. I was informed that there was one other 8 am appointment besides me. Despite the fact that I got there 10 minutes earlier and I was the first one called into the room. Every time I have gone here I have waited over half an hour

  • Jenny is very patient and listens very well. Always makes me feels comfortable. The staff are great. Always recommend this office to others.

  • The mid wife was so sweet and made me feel so comfortable. I felt like I could have real conversations with her and confide in her.

  • Appointment dates are a month out which is a little long to wait but understandable due to Covid-19.

  • The nurse and CNM I saw were fantastic and made me feel very comfortable. I didn't feel rushed or like I couldn't take time to ask questions.

  • I have had 2 appointments moved without my requesting. And when I requested to have an ultrasound for pregnancy, they scheduled me for a "intake" appt which was a waste of time and did not say when I scheduled it that the first appointment would not include the ultrasound. I don't understand why they couldn't have done that the same day as the ultrasound other than to make me have to pay an additional copayment. Huge inconvenience to the patient who is waiting on information and a waste of money.

  • Entire office is fabulous from the front desk staff to the medical assistant (I think her name was [Name]) Jenny is very knowledgeable and kind.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
