About Jamsheed Vakharia MD
Dr. Vakharia graduated from Aga Khan University Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan. He completed his residency in surgery at the Brown University Medical School and internship at The Miriam Hospital. Previously, he received a Higher Secondary Certification in Premedical Sciences from the Adamjee Government Science College, also in Karachi.
Dr. Vakharia is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Warren Alpert School of Medicine at Brown University and is a member of the American College of Surgeons. He was voted a “Top Doc” by RI Monthly Magazine from 2002 to 2019.
His clinical interests include robotic surgery.

Excellent physician and office staff
Dr. Vakharia took his time to understand why I was there, my pertinent medical history and what I was expecting from this appointment. He explained all of my options so that I could make an informed decision. My appointment didn't feel rushed and I was given ample opportunity to ask questions. I've come across very few providers that provide this level of care and concern for my wellbeing. I would make this provider my PCP in a heartbeat as I would absolutely trust my overall health in his hands.
We both felt that my wife and I felt that was the most thorough exam and someone who explained everything to us was the best exam he's had in a long, long time. The doctor was very clear. He was very thorough and just a really, really good visit. We'd recommend him highly to anyone.
