About Jaimie Reed

Dr. Jaimie Reed earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and her medical degree from the University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester. She completed her residency in St. Petersburg, Florida at Bayfront Health Family Medicine with a concentration in outpatient medicine, pediatrics and sport medicine.

Dr. Reed is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and Massachusetts Medical Society. She enjoys outdoor activities, traveling to new places, and spending time with her family in New England.

  • With everything going on and having a phone visit , it was my first visit with my doctor. She answered all of my questions and then some. I was extremely comfortable.

  • Doing very, very well. I like it. I'm happy.

  • I loved having the video visit! It should be incorporated more often. We should only have to go in for bloodwork or tests. Especially those of us with no transportation. Just my opinion.

  • The appointment was on facetime, it was at the time that it was scheduled. Dr. Reed was very thorough and personable. This was my first time meeting with her and she took the time to ask me my concerns and got a thorough medical history from me.

  • I was really nervous about going out, to a medical building no less during the stay at home order, but everyone was wonderful and many precautions were taken to make me feel safe. I feel like this office is doing a great job at screening people before they come in and also making sure everyone stays a safe distance apart. Dr. Reed was wonderful as well and got me in quickly, despite her not being my original PCP.

I apologize this comment is a bit long and wordy. But this place, in my eyes, is of exceptionally good quality of Dr’s, Nurses, & Staff. And I hope that never changes and stays this way....

  • This was my first visit with Dr Reed transferring from 30 years at Hawthorn. I had to choose the no response for the question related to whether or not Dr Reed new my history but that is only because this was my first visit. I am happy to be a patient of Dr Reeds and feel really positive about transferring toSouth Coast. Btw...the person who checked me out was very nice and took the time to schedule several things for me.

  • Pros: Friendly and kind. Cons: Assistant was brand new and trying hard to learn, but very green. Med list wasn’t reviewed with/by physician. For an annual physical, I felt like the top to bottom list of issues, family history changes, and any other questions or concerns was missed. Coming from a prior provider where annual physicals were very thorough, I felt like this was a skim coating. Not necessarily bad, just lighter and different.

Other than my appointment being 15 mins later than scheduled and me showing 10 mins early to boot as well as the front check in woman not greeting me/being short which is opposite as to how she treated several other patients that walked up after me while I waited,it was a great experience.

  • I think you should have two receptionist at check out, so the line isn't as long the wait to check out was long.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Helpfulness of Clerks & Receptionists, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
