Dr. Ilana Feinerman is an otolaryngologist and head and neck surgeon with Southcoast Physicians Group in North Dartmouth, Mass. After receiving her medical degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo, Dr. Feinerman completed an internship in general surgery and residency in otolaryngology/head and neck surgery at Tufts Medical Center in Boston.

Dr. Feinerman is board certified by the American Academy of Otolaryngology.

She sees patients of all ages and has a particular interest in pediatrics as well as patients with ear and sinus disease and vocal issues.

  • This was the first time using a video chat . I received a call from [Name] the doctor ‘s assistant . This would be my initial visit with Dr Feinerman, and [Name] asked me the pertinent questions to complete their records . She was professional, yet friendly. She also explained how the video chat worked and assured me of its success. If there was a problem , she gave me her number to call her back if needed. The video chat worked well . I enjoyed meeting the Doctor and she was familiar with my case . During our discussion, I learned procedures to follow and those foods and drinks that would aggravate my symptoms. She answered my questions patiently and I feltcomfortable during the visit.

Dr Finerman was professional and genuinely listened to my concerns and history as her scribe entered data. I’d visit her in the future if I had another ENT issue. She did a great job using the scope to do the diagnostic. I was apprehensive about having it done, but it actually was tolerable.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
