Dr. Ilana Feinerman is an otolaryngologist and head and neck surgeon with Southcoast Physicians Group in North Dartmouth, Mass.   • The reason I didn’t give a ten is that I hadn’t seen the provider in 2 years and when I brought up a medical condition I have I really couldn’t tell if they knew I had this condition at all. Made me wonder if they knew most of my history or not before they came in the room. But they did take care of the issue I was there for.

  • Everyone I was in contact with, from the receptionist to the doctor, was professional, pleasant, and thorough, and I left with no unanswered questions.

  • This is the second time the wait has been really long. Wasn’t seen until 40 mins after my scheduled time. That happens and is understandable but the “wait time” board in the office didn’t indicate the wait was extraordinarily long. Still, the visit was good overall.

  • The staff was friendly and courteous, testing was explained, and follow-up was set up in order to be both helpful and accommodating. The only issue I had was how long everything took. I spent more time in the office than I had planned on or anticipated. I arrived at 1 p.m. and did not leave till after 4:30 p.m. That is a bit too much, I understand physicians offices get busy, but our time is valuable as well. Some do not earn while they wait.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Helpfulness of Clerks & Receptionists, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
