About Himesh Sheth

Himesh Sheth, MD received his Doctor of Medicine from Ross University School of Medicine in Portsmouth, Dominica. Dr. Sheth completed his residency in Internal Medicine at St. Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury, Conn.

He is a member of the American College of Physicians. He is fluent in Hindi, Gujarati, Urdu, and proficient in medical Spanish as well.

His clinical interests include heart failure, hypertension, and diabetes.

In his spare time, Dr. Sheth enjoys running, biking, cooking, and watching TV show marathons.

  • I never think tele visits will be helpful but this actually was. I felt fully comfortable and felt like I was actually listened to.

  • I have nothing but the highest praise for the Doctor and his staff. Not only are the professional but they are friendly easy to talk too.

  • Was thoroughly informed of my medical history. Made what I believe was a necessary change to my medication based on test results. Noticed a health condition that went unnoticed for maybe several years. Likable personality.

  • Although I know the telephone call was the best way to have my appointment at this time, I was not informed of this until a few moments before my appointment. I was not and continue to be unhappy about the way my appointment was handled. I am seriously considering changing my provider.

  • Improve the check out procedure, it's like you are interrupting their day by trying to get on with yours. The office has a Great check in system, Medical assistant and Physician. They should sublet their check out system it's AWFUL. That's the feeling you take home with you.

  • I called the chronic care to reach my doctor and i had to wait 45 minutes for someone to pick up the phone .I think this is very poor service. If this happens again I will not use service

  • New patient. He took the time to review my family history before coming into the room. He was patient and listened carefully to all of my concerns.

  • Wish I would have been informed that temperature, blood pressure and heart rate prior to call was needed. I could have had that ready as thermometer and b/p machine was not readily accessible.

  • Set up was easy to navigate. People were kind. Dr Sheth was excellent especially explaining my hx. I look forward to in person. The only issue was waiting for over an hour. Seems to be communication on office end but again Dr Sheth was excellent as was support staff.

  • I like the telehealth appointments. I have a young child and an immunocompromised parent and it makes me feel safe. I hope that this feature can continue to be used. I'm not a person to visit the office much due to, thankfully, good health. If I have a physical appointment and I feel well I don't want to sit in a waiting room where sick people are and be exposed to anything from a simple cold to the flu. By using telehealth I can continue to keep myself and my family healthy.

  • The provider had reviewed my medical chart before my appointment, so was familiar with my medical history. This was my first visit with him as my doctor had retired. This made a good first impression on me.

  • Dr. Sheth listens well and knows my medical history. I am grateful that he is so thorough.

  • Just a routine wellness visit. Telehealth is definitely much more convenient for this type of appointment. I have no complaints!

  • I think it went well. It was my first time meeting my new PCP. I was very happy with him. Even though I can't get an actual appointment with him until December 24 we were able to discuss some issues and he was able to schedule some appointments for me.

  • It was nice that my telemedicine appointment started on time. It was disappointing that my first primary doctor visit was on the phone and could not be sure when an in person office would happen.

First I received a call from a pleasant assistant who took my vitals information.The doctor called shortly after and asked all important questions about my health, and suggested tests and other health management procedures. I liked him very much and thought he was most competent.

  • Hi, it was a good experience with the doctor was (INAUDIBLE) nice and he was able to answer all my calls, all my questions and stuff and it was really good like really good appointment over the phone, but like receptionist area that was a little difficult because I didn't feel like it was a very like welcoming in a way kind of call it could have been a little bit better, but I just wanted to let you know that overall it was a good one.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
